I don't get why but I am more confident on the Internet, I find it strange because I never have the guts to say some of the stuff I say on here in real life.

Of course I'm more confident on the internet.
Like I wouldn't be able to approach somebody in a bar to talk to them if I liked them.
Whereas on the Internet I'm all 'HAI.

Real life. I have no idea why but I find it harder to make conversation online.

Im just as confident in both i am very comfortable in my own skin
Just the same for both really.
I do find it a little bit easier to talk to people offline though, like on here and some other interent sites I feel as if some people don't really get my humour, hmm maybe I am more confident offline after all

I am more careful online than off. I am aware that the written word can be taken many ways if you cannot hear how someone is actually saying something and the tone they are using as to it too.
Offline, I would show any anger,(that is rare), also though people would hear exactly how I was phrasing things and the tone I use so I have more confidence in face to face debate than written ones.
Online, I try very hard to hold back and also try my best to not have what I say taken as anger or getting at someone when I have no intention of saying things that way at the time.
Humour offline for instance is easily recognised as that, online it can be seen as humour but also as sarcasm too when it cannot be heard how it is said and really meant.

It's impossible to be more confident in real life surely
On the internet you can talk to people freely without the worry of them judging you on looks/personality
Depends, sometimes I think it's harder to convey who you are or what you mean online, and also whatever you write on here or other sites can be seen by pretty much anyone so you don't have the same privacy in what you're saying as you would just amongst a few mates
Internet definitely
im just an awkward person in real life

I'm so shy and awkward in real life but online I'm way more confident

I think I'm slightly autistic when it comes to social situations in real life.
So yea online I'm far more confident.

real life im far more confident as speaking to people face to face is far far more interesting and more fun...most internet discussions end up with everyone getting polarised and exaggerating their points to get heard. in life you can play with situations, be funny serious sincere crazy all at the same time
texting facebook twitter are the death to real conversation, which is tragic

I wasn't sure before so I picked internet but after thinking about it I changed my mind. On the interned I have way to much time to think about and often end up editing and cutting bits out sometimes I even discourage my self from posting comments.
In real life you don't have all that time to think you really only have 3 seconds to reply to someone (any longer and it would be weird and awkward) and by the time you have anodised what you just said its to late to edit or undo.

I think I'm pretty similar online as I am in real life with people I know. With people I don't know, definitely online.
Surely everybody is more confident online?
I'm very confident with friends and family, in big groups I usually be quiet

Well I said in real life, I am quite an assertive person but ut is easier online I guess.
The downside is it is too easy to misconstue comments online or take them out of context.

Obviously the internet. I'd have been slapped down by now if I acted the way I act on here and all.

If we're talking about sober? I'm more confident in real life.
If we're talking about drunk? I'm definitely more confident online. I'd never say half the things i say drunk online in real life, i'd get killed lol
