Basically, I was sat on the computer on TiBB & my dog started barking & I saw a lone dog outside with no owner. So straight away I went outside to try & retrieve it and find out the owner. But it's afraid of humans & ran towards a busy road. So I stopped and ran back to get dog treats to lure the dog away from the busy road & It worked, I lured it to a field, but It wouldn't come anywhere closer than 5m to me. When It got closeish, I tried to get the dog but it like ran into a bush or somewhere. So I put a treat down, and I still can't see it. And I have no torch in my house, so it's basically pitch black apart from my phone. For about 30 minitues I've been looking but have seen nothing.. It's pitch black & now a group of drunks are sitting in the field and doing drugs so I kind of stopped looking.

Is a dog walking down the street by itself some kind of rare event where you live?

Is it not where you live? I'm used to seeing cats on the streets, but never dogs.

At least once every couple of weeks I come across a rabid dog roaming the area, and she isn't always pleasant.

..But yes, there are often dogs walking around. Not an everyday thing but it's hardly out of the ordinary.

I must say the majority I've seen roaming the streets have came during my visits to London. Brixton was full of them, so was the area around Euston Station.

They really should sort that horrible city out
