Two attendees were ejected from Republican National Convention on Tuesday for throwing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman.
The individuals told her "this is how we feed animals" as they threw the nuts, multiple witness said.
Convention security and police removed the two from the convention centre shortly after the incident.
In a statement, convention officials said the attendees had "exhibited deplorable behaviour".
"Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated."
The identities of the two ejected was unclear. News broadcaster CNN confirmed the incident but had no additional comment.
The incident happened on Tuesday in the Tampa Bay Times Forum, where delegates officially nominated Mitt Romney as the Republican candidate to face President Barack Obama in the November presidential election.
:o
Of course not representative of the Republicans as a whole, but still, what the ****?!

I don't see how it's racial. They would have done the same thing to any CNN cameraman of any race i think. They hate CNN/main stream media, not black people.
After CNN's deplorable coverage of the treyvon martin/george zimmerman case, and all the race baiting they did, when actually that case had nothing to do with race, CNN tries to make anything and everything about race, because they know it gets ratings. they are shameless.
I gave up on FOX and MSNBC long ago, but after the treyvon martin coverage they did, i had to give up on CNN too. I don't watch any cable news anymore. it's all shameless crap. They are animals, and deserve to have nuts thrown at them, no matter what colour their camera people's skin is.
They make the news into a circus, so they should expect to be treated like circus animals.

Oh, Alex. What about the possibility that they may have implied that they would have called her a monkey or gorilla - both of which are well-known racial slurs? Do you know any stories about these people throwing nuts at other ethic groups?

Since when do monkeys or gorillas eat nuts? We all know from European Football that you'd thrown bananas if you wanted to make a racial statement.

Obviously it's racial
it's not obvious at all. It's obvious RACE BAITING. that's the only obvious thing about this story.

because calling someone an animal is not racial, atleast not in America. People call eachother animals to insult them no matter what their race all the time. It's a GENERAL insult. IF they had made some specific refernce to monkeys then i could atleast understand how it could be perceieved. BUt Animals in general is NOT racial at all.
There is a big difference between calling someone a MONKEY and calling someone an animal.

oh please. do you honestly think that these same people would not have done the same thing to a white CNN camera person??
Republicans hate CNN, just like Democrats hate FOX NEws and i'm sure if this same thing happened, with democrats throwing nuts and calling a FOX camera person an animal, this would not be a story at all.
And i'm a Democrat.

exactly, they are well known racial slurs, and no one said anything about monkeys or gorillaz. SO if they were being so OVERTLY racist as you think, why wouldn't they just go the whole hog? don't be silly. (oops i just said hog, i guess i'm a racist too now!)
You know damn well that FOX News is gonna get some abuse at the Democrat convention, or when FOX news goes down to Occupy Wall Street you don't think they get the same abuse?? gimme a break.

Just go away. Serioulsly. You racism apologists infiltrate forums with nonsense and derail every thread with it. I suggest you study racism and its tactics before forming your conclusions.

It annoys me that some people read these things will often believe that everyone from the political party is the same

No, I won't be respectful. Don't tell me what to do.
I don't have to respect anything. I know your views on the matter. I don't respect them because in my opinion your opinions are stupid and you have little understanding on indirect racism and taking things out of context. These also fall under the category of opinions.

only a racist would assume that it's because she was black. have you seen the way FOX Newscamera people have been treated at the Occuppy movement? FUnny how no one shrieks racism when it's a right wing broadcaster's camera crew being attacked.
Obama's supporters race baiting is disgusting to me. They did the same thing against Hillary so i know how the RACE BAITERS are. they are disgusting, just like the boy who cried wolf. It's a disgrace to all people who have suffered actual racism.
Anything to get on the front pages, shameless.

The idea that these women bought nuts, then brought them into the convention, just in the HOPE that there would be a black camerawoman from CNN there to throw at, to make a racist statement, it's just stupid. ANyone who believes that truly is dumb.
Throwing anything is always inappropriate, and that's why they were ejected, but trying to make it racial is just STUPID.
Conservatives hate CNN, just like Liberals hate FOX, get over it, and stop this stupid and pathetic race baiting.

while I do think that this sounds like a racism case, I think you're right with people claiming 'rasicm attacks'.
