To be fair to Brian, he was in the process of presenting the live eviction so would have just been told in his earpiece that he wasn't coming to the actual eviction event.

Emma and BBBOTS had far more time to find out his main and real reasons why he preferred to stay at the Hotel rather than greet her as she came out of the house.

....they didn't need to mention it in the first place, or they could have qualified his reasons for not being there by saying he didn't want to be on camera...also, how many people would be watching BBOTS later on as compared to the main event!!!

IMO that was a nasty thing to imply that he didn't want to be with her although they did say he declined to appear 'on the programme'...just a clever way to add to the hype surrounding the whole showmance that never existed...

not saying it was deliberate but a little bit more sensitive treatment of her would have been nice. She is quite timid in many ways and was clearly rattled by her experience in the house.

...they must have had the full story though don't you think..they just didn't give it because it sounded good too say he had declined to be on the show...maybe they had told her he was at a hotel before the cameras started to role, which is why she took it so well...the lasting impression though, is that he declined to be there, and if you read some of the papers today that's the story they're pushing!!!
