Julian - a Mystery!

The mystery is why he's so popular with TiBB members and why he's favourite to win. :conf:

He's been very disappointing so far as I am concerned. :( Bland and in the background most of the time. Age has blunted his edge, I think.

Some of my friends (not normally BB fans) started to watch only because he was a HM and they thought he would be really entertaining.... but they've stopped watching.

Why popular? Apart from natural advantages of being male and gay (=asexual to women) he also carries:

- Nostalgia
- Good will and
- Intelligence

Also if this had been non-celeb BB he would have been evicted before final at the earliest chance ie BB 12 Tom BB 13 Scott as camp gay males have it harder to find SLs other than being camp.

However this is celeb bb and he's "Julian Clary" so he will always have a fan base of middle aged f*g hag types who love the predictable one liners.

Having said all that he does seem like a nice guy.

It has been pointed out that he has a back problem.He also had to go to the dentist for a troublesome tooth.So maybe he's not feeling up to par.
I like him,he's not caused any problems in there unlike Badyear.

Got to agree. I too have found him disappointing. A bit of a fence sitter. In particular, his friendship with Julie. I would have thought an intelligent being such as himself would have seen straight through her.

A lovely man, but his downfall has been getting stuck to Julies hip ,its a shame I so wanted him to win

whats lovely about him? he doesnt converse at all? his judgements are all premeditated showing huge bias against americans and journalists...also his nomination yestetrday was an embarassment, you told I looked ok in sackcloth when I didnt. pitiful. the man is cold and shallow as a puddle. his ike nomination about his horrible body was horrible. he has been mean judgemental and nasty to mike from the first few seconds. hes a cold mean eyed fish

How do you know that? Are you getting live feed that others aren't? :conf:

I don't blame him being wary of Journalists at all. They sometimes have the ability these days to make or break some in the media spotlight with the quick click of their camera and cropped pics and the poison of their pen. And usually make up loads with their so called sources. As for his quips re the Americans, I expect a lot of that is tongue in cheek, and if he does nominate any of them, it is for his own reasons.

I too thought he would be a really good housemate but I have also been disappointed in him as well. He is favourite to win but for me he just hasnt done enough to warrant this. Still like him but would not vote him as my winner.

He was hilarious the first two weeks and nobody has done anything to condone ever since.

All the HMs are boring, the ones who aren't boring are for all the wrong reasons, either irritating, attention seeking or egotist. Julian is none of these hence he's the best one.
