Stupid audience just had to laugh and wreck the whole thing, it would have been amazing if the audience just ****.

Nice idea, horrible execution. Stupid, stupid audience!

Would have been better if the video turned to Sonia talking to the other house for a couple of seconds.

What happened?

it would have been amazing if the audience just ****.

I can't work out what swear word that is. None would make sense to be placed there.

But the ****witted crowd did **** it up by laughing at their reactions. Layla's smart enough to tell they laughed in time with the reactions, but we'll see.

Yea it was dumb of the producers not to tell the audience not to react. It totally ruined what could have been a good twist.

I wish they would get a proper interview couch or chairs or something during the eviction interview, it's weird having them standing in that tiny circle during the whole interview. I also hate how they keep the microphones on the audience for the entire eviction episode during the highlights.

The interviews and stage layout are terrible. I haven't warmed to Sonia at all yet.

But I prefer the audience's mics being kept on during the show. only for those episodes it gives it something special. :)

They really should interview them at an inclosed seated area, not stood up looking like fools.

The audience seems to laugh at everything in the show, which is offputting.

However I don't think the twist is dead. They will extend it and show them the other house. They might think the audience were laughing as they saw their reactions, not because it was a fake twist.

double post for some reason

I agree seated interviews are better, it just looks strange I guess.

The host is ok but she's started to act up to the audience, just like Brian Dowling. The silly tabloid headline-like opening also reminded me of CH5. They do take too much from the British version (including some bad things inevitably now), but the original twists have kept it going.

What was the twist?

starry

The twist is there is a fake 2nd house. There is also another twist about a special nomination power (unknown yet), but they put it in for Ryan which suggests the producers did it to give Estelle some power.

Bit of a spoiler in the thread title.

Thanks, so how exactly was it ruined?

Well Sonia (presenter) deliberately said there was a second house while the HMs were still listening.. but when the HM's were all shocked, their facial expressions made the crowd laugh A LOT and basically Layla was like "it's a joke, didn't you hear them all laughing? it's a joke they all laughed"

So yeah.. looks as if the crowd ruin all BB seasons.

The real mystery is where do the audience come from?

Who are these hundreds of people?

Are they actors? Or just sheeple?

Marc

Probably just come from the area where the house is

I don't think they're real people though, the whole thing is too panto.

Maybe they rounded up a load of out of work extras, offering free food or something.

Anyone local have the inside scoop?

Terrible start to the twist and a horrible oversight that the producers should've seen coming.

However they did a good job tonight recovering and now it seems the housemates have bought into it.

It wasnt ruined at all it is a natural reaction to jump to the conclusion that it might not be real but the seed is planted and will grow as long as they dont try too hard to force it.

Tonight BB said they showed House 2 a highlights package of both houses, and that BB will show House 1 the same one, but the package was ONLY footage of the supposed 2nd house. They should know it's so obviously fake. =/

They swallowed it hook line and sinker why the grim outlook on everything cheer up.

I live about 45 mins away from Dreamworld (a theme park, where Big brother is filmed) and its real people, we have ads on tv all the time, telling us to go buy tickets for the eviction and stuff.

Unfortunately, young Australians seem to be that dumb. Over the last 5 years Australian audiences have really embraced the "laugh when we tell you to" way of broadcasting.

I wish they would shut the audience up and **** Sonia off.

I think Will, Benjamin, and Layla still suspect its fake.

They don't buy the twist at all. They know it's fake. You'd have to be an idiot to buy it. It reminds me of that total fail show "Space Cadets" on C4.

starry

Space Cadets wasn't that bad.

But the execution of this isn't very good, they just haven't put the money into it. They employ some actors to enact a few scripted scenes instead of seeing them in the actual tasks they are competing in. They have a big screen in the house and it isn't even used, it could at least be used when the results of the tasks are revealed. The tasks would be better if they could see each other, the quiz task for instance should have been each house being asked a question with a buzzer and all of them being seen on the big screen. Such a waste of a concept.
