Hi there everyone, Little concerned about the low viewing figures this year, only 4m last night? I thought this show was really popular cos it's in all the papers every day but noboby is watching, I think they will cancel it :conf:

Lisas eviction got 6 million
Its just one show

The ratings will go down after Nikki's eviction

Nah I highly doubt they'll cancel it. Just like any other show they have good and bad days, plus there's other stuff to be watching. It's still a popular show to be honest, they won't cancel it I don't think until there's no hope for it at all, and right now there seems to be. And if you mean cancelling the programme as a whole I don't think that'll happen anytime soon; there's a BB8 coming up I'm pretty sure anyway.

I hope they don't cancel it Clom, I'm brand new to BB and I want to be watching it far into the future.

Yeah alot of people hit the bars and clubs Saturday nights so the viewing figures are bound to be down.

They should bring in some celebrities to get people watching again. Adam Rickett would be good. And maybe Paul Danan?

That'd be a Celebrity Big Brother though wouldn't it?..

No, it'd be a mix. Though of course the winner would be Adam Rickett, so there'd be no contest anymore.

They don't care about the ratings, the voting makes them a fortune!

Yeah, but without good ratings they have no excuse to keep it running and so no fortune from the voting!

BB does have good ratings, it just varies from day to day like any show. And because it goes on for such a while it's likely to change considerably from day to day as well I'd have thought.

Nikki is a pain but if they evict her this week what is there to watch absolutely nothing

If they lose the carphone warehouse sponsorship that would really hit them hard.

Huh i thought 4 million would be quite alot of the percentage if you concider all the sky channels and what not.

But we can't live in the past Clom, BB reinvents itself every year from what I can see. Of course it's gonna change, but at the same time it kind of stays the same too.

I think you should just sit back and enjoy the trip of a lifetime.

out of interest dose anyone know the average AI for this year so far .
what has been the highest and what has been the lowest.

they`s days in a malty channel age, thay are far more important than just plain raw ratings .

I can't see tham losing the sponsorship to be honest. The figures may be down this year but theres still enough people watching to warrant the sponsorship.

I think part of the problem is the length of BB this year. They have been greedy by making it longer, thinking of all the extra money they will be getting in. Even for die hard watchers there is only so much of Nikki whining, Aisleyne singing and Glyn and Imogen speaking Welsh that you can watch.

For most of the evictions it has been pretty obvious who was going to be evicted and therefore a lot of people dont vote - they dont think they have to.

Also a lot of people are spent out on tv voting by telephone. Every other programme now seems to involve viewers spending money by voting.

This has been one of the highest Rated series - Below BB3/BB2 i think.

Saturday highlights are always the least rated series of the week.

BB has been doing better than LI this year so hip Hip Hoooray!
