View Full Version : Respect for Julian tonight.

I really found his loyalty to Julie quite touching
shes been outed as a backstabber and a schemer, in a totally OTT way
shes not been that bad, in fact shes done it in a charming kind of way.
whereas harvey has lost the plot really. maybe he feels hurt, but he needs to find the humour in it. so does lorenzo. yes she schemed, so did mike, so did danica, so did colleen, so did jasmine....in fact theyre all scheming one way or another.
I like the fact julie kept the peace, stood up against the ganging up against julie, he did it with humour and style. what I also liked was he does tell julie straight to her face but in such a humourous way....when he told her she wanted to grow old disgracefully and shes succeeded, priceless.
fact is julie is 70 and that does make a difference. shes from a different era, shes also been round the block and lived a long and remarkable life, she had cancer for 25 years and kept it secret, she formed a cancer foundation, shes a mother granmother and huge star for 40 years....
people like harvey need to be more philosophical and realise its not as black and white as he sees it. He is currently the most uncomfortable person in there. he seems to have lost it a bit and lost his sense of reality.
martin on the other hand has outed julie but hes still great with her, very kind and gentle but they have a laugh together too
big up to martin and especially julian tonight for keeping the peace:xyxwave:

I think Julian was great but I dont know about Martin because he was the one that set the poison down for her talking to Harvey and Ashley about her.
I found it awful viewing tonight Julian was spot on about them ganging up on her.

I love Julian more each day! He is loyal to Julie what ever happens.

I can't decide if his loyalty to Julie is going to help him or hinder him. I guess if Julie gets to the final it could be a straight fight between the two, but if Julie does leave tonight could that leave Julian a bit isolated in the final few days. A chance perhaps for Martin/Coleen or the young guys ie Sitch to shine.
I think Julian is going to finish in the top 3 in either case...!!!

Julian is a very nice guy. Harvey on the other hand has shown his true colours. Why single out Julie? They all lie and backstab each other in there! :nono:

We won't have even one full highlight show of Julian without Julie (if she goes) so it hopefully won't hinder him

Harvey and his cronies are hypocrites and bullies. They need to come out to a chorus of very loud boos!:devil::devil:

Julian has demonstrated what friendship is all about, sticking by someone through the good and bad times, and accepting that person warts and all. He is clearly fond of Julie and she's lucky to have his support. I don't think she deserves it.

I like julian he seems a really nice guy, a bit like gareth thomas from the last CBB a rational person who doesn't get sucked into the histrionics of the house.
His witty one liners though...:) he is sooo funny, he can crack me up laughing with just one wry smile :D

I wouldn't say they were bullies V but hypocrites yes. Infact if Julie stays a lot of her votes will be from people who don't like Harvey and co's behaviour most probably.

Brilliant post Angus i agree with every word other than 'i don't think she deserves it'. Why do you think she doesn't deserve it? She hasn't backstabbed him or been twofaced to him in my recollection? I'm not a fan of Julie but i believe their friendship is genuine on both sides :)

Harvey only turned on Julie because he heard the boos. Funny how he's up Coleen arse now he heard the cheers for her. What a bellend! :nono:

I am with you as to Martin, he has irritated me by strirring this up against Julie, of everyone in there he was the last I expected to do that.
I liked him and wanted him to win but I don't like that especially when he was saying things against her for the first time.
As at that same time he was also saying the same things as she was anyway just not as forcefully as she was.
Julian I have liked and respected all through the series, he hasn't put a foot wrong for me.

He was already becoming unsure of her before the boos as Danica said he'd seen or heard something the day before that made him question Julie

There won't be enough time. Thursday's highlights Julie will still be there for the most part (if she goes tonight) and then there is only Friday's show left.

I think he's very naive for his comments. she's not a nice person yet he is too blinded by his friendship with her to notice her wrong actions.

I don't think Martin was stirring. He was telling the boys to be careful as they are young,so not to be disliked when they leave the house as they with luck will have a long career ahead of them. Whereas Julie is at the end of hers.

I know, I haven't seen her being disrespectful towards him, but who knows? I think she'd do absolutely anything or slag anybody off to reach the final. she's a very selfish woman and a definite game player.

julie isnt that bad. shes criticized jasmine and rightly so, everyone has, shes criticized danica and rightly so, everyone has bar the lovesick prince, the biggest mistake she made was to mention nominations and asking if harvey would nominate prince. she also mention colleen having a fat ass under her breath in temper over nominations. other than that its just been natural gossip and letting off steam. harvey has been far worse imho

Harvey is the nastiest housemate in there. I wonder what he did last night to upset Martin. :suspect:

Err, Martin hasn't been as nice as Julian. Martin's been a bit childish at times and he's talked behind Julie's back.
But you can always rely on Julie as a shoulder to cry out, as Martin no doubt discovered.

Also worth remembering prior to Julie being up for eviction the conversation her and Coleen had one morning, all very pleasent, Coleen being her usual self and avoiding conflict despite clearly not being comfortable around Julie. Ended with Coleen saying she was gonna have a lie down... no dramas
UNTIL Julie went in the bathroom and muttered under her breath '*******ing twat' which I found totally uncalled for and really nasty. Also hated her behaviour (as well as Ash + Harvey) during the Gods task, they were one step away from actual bullying, even Mike distanced himself from those 3 during that stage, he sensed it was getting nasty.
That said Kudos to Julian for his loyalty, I get the sense he doesn't always agree with her behaviour but he sees its getting to intense and singling her out a bit to much. He saw the same thing with Danica and Coleen and he comforted them as well.
Harveys little gang has ruined this series, they should have been showed up and shamed long ago for the constant noms talk and block voting.

I think Julie feels a sense of entitlement to other people's goodwill and loyalty and really doesn't appreciate how Julian has perhaps spoilt his chances because of his association with her. She doesn't strike me as a person who appreciates what others do for her - she seems to expect it of them as if by right. Her platitudes and words of affection are glib and throwaway with no genuine feeling. She's a luvvy on the strength of virtually her only acting job during which she essentially played herself! Julie is as shallow as the proverbial puddle.

However, Julian did tell Julie that he could not relate to anyone else in the house. Both he and Julie have what would be called a bawdy sense of humour. If she says something too strong he just says, now, now sort of thing. They actually bounce off each other and Julian would have been bored to death if Julie had not been there.
They liked each other before they went into the house and they will remain friends when they come out.
Coleen disliked Julie before she went into the house and she will certainly badmouth her when she comes out.
Just goes to show you cannot like all of the people all of the time.
