I don't get how alot of people go on about Lorenzo being boring and then in the same breath say they want Julian to win. Now, don't get me wrong, I like Julian he seems like a very nice guy but how has he been entertaining? Lorenzo has been in the highlights so much more than him, with the whole Danica situation and never been scared of speaking his mind and being the only one with the balls to nominate fat Nana to her face!

Loved his interview as well last night, so honest.

Agreed Niamh. I don't mind Julian but other than when he's in the DR he doesnt do much or open up to anyone at all, a bit rich for him to have nominated Lorenzo week after week for being dull.

Yeah, I agree, although by default of **** housemates I want Julian to come 3rd.

Julian was good the first few days but has done nothing since

What I don't like about him is how he always seems to be watching what he says. He never actually relaxed and let his personality out

I like them both to be honest and would like to have seen Lorenzo in the final but I just love Julian and I don't think we have been shown that much of him as he hasn't been in a story line as such but I think he has been funny, the few bits we have seen. He and Lorenzo didn't really have much in common which is why I think Julian nominated him - dull seemed a good reason I guess if they didn't spend that much time together. I think Julian spent too much time helping Julie but that has probably gone in his favour as it's shown him to be a caring human being. We all want an entertaining show I agree but it's usually the nice folk that win :)

I agree Niamh, though out of what is left I would like Julian to win just cos I like him and he has risen to the challenge when required but he doesnt push himself forward as others do Alot of people believed that Danica suckered the Prince in and he was brushed off as some sort of dimbo, but by the same token the sitch got praised for "falling in love" , dont understand it really he was a good HM...

Well said Niamh, though am not a fan of Julian's snootiness.

But maybe that is what he is like Niamh - I don't know him so can't say for sure obviously, but they can't all be running around dropping their pants like Harvey type people (thank heavens) :joker:

Totally agree.
I have always liked Julian and was delighted to hear he was going to be a HM,but he has been a massive disappointment for me as a HM.
He said that the girls should (Rhian & Danica )should not be judged on what career choices they made (and I agree with him) but he made judgement on Sam being a DM journalist and Lorenzo being a Republican:conf2:

I find it hard to believe that he never has an opinion on anything

Lorenzo was a dullard though that week Cheryl left, he came into his own though.

But people also saying Julian would make the worst winner ever is ludicrious especially when the final consists of Ashley/Martin/Coleen & Harvey ffs.

His thing with Danica detracted from his entertainment value.
That being said he is probably the 2nd or 3rd most entertaining male this series, after Julian and arguably Mike.

He wouldn't be the worst winner ever just not a very exciting one, I have him in a similar category to Martin, nice people but not very exciting, I think Martin however has shown his personality more and has spoke up when he felt he should

Disagree with your comment re Martin, Ive never seen anyone as shocked as Julie when she saw Martins conversation with the boys last night, she had no inkling....I believe everyone in that house knows where they stand with Julian. Martin has run with the herd in my opinion...didnt nominate Julie to her face etc

That conversation they showed last night is an example, he tried to protect the boys by saying what he did. There was no need to say it to Julie, all he was doing was looking out for them and making sure they were careful about not getting too nasty

I think the difference for me is that I enjoy Julian's wit, even though he doesn't feel the need to be hamming it up all day long. I did find Lorenzo quite dull, but saw a different side to him when he was interviewed last night. If he'd been that engaging in the house maybe I'd have liked him more. Unfortunately this series didn't give us the chance to find out much about personalities as it's focused either on the Danica/Lorenzo/Mike thing or the Rhian/Ashley thing... and then when they were gone, on the fanatical ravings of an elderly lunatic.

I do as well and I do like Julian, and maybe the problem was lack of people to bounce off in there? As for Lorenzo, I think it could also be a case of a lack of like minded people to chat to

Yes Maybe you're right. I was very surprised to find myself warming to Lorenzo last night. There was a bit of fight and fire there, saying in front of Julie that he would not keep in contact with her, for example. There was a definite cultural divide between Lorenzo and the rest of the house, despite the fact that Mike was there, and despite the fact he claims to be European! Anyhoo... after seeing a different side of him last night I'd put him back in if I could, swapping him with Ashley and Harvey if they'd let me, a two-for-one deal.

Oh yes please, I swear to God if Ashley wins this :bored: Harvey hasn't a hope but the whole young Olympian bulls**t might make Ashley win

Nah, that's not going to happen. Have we yet found anyone who admits to being an Ashley fan?

That's true for here anyway, they seem to like him on BOTS though. I'm hoping the Situation wins, he's been entertaining without being nasty, yeah I'm sure it's all for the cameras but I don't care, would have been dull without it imo

I can't see what there is about Ashley to like. I think he must have had a pretty successful personality by-pass when he had his partial labotomy.

Can't take to Mike. And I can't bring my self to call anyone "The Situation". I just don't see the point of him. He's not funny, he's not witty, he's not handsome, he's not clever, he's 30 and dresses like a 15 year old, he has that pathetic hang-dog, droopy look whenever anyone says "Danica"... and his nose is just the most hilarious thing. Apart from that, he's okay LOL...

I preferred lorenzo to julian.. a far warmer kinder person. he was never going to get farther as hes 1) not really a celebrity so has no fan base 2) hes american so has even less support 3) hes basically nice and polite , which is wrongly called boring by the ainpulative producers and presenters and the mindless audience. he is a very intelligent educated man, with umpteen companies, interests worldwide, hes also romantic, polite, gentlemanly, patient and understanding. hes a bit naive perhaps with women, but who isnt. danica made him feel good, he knew she was a rinser and a player, but it was a fun way to pass the time and entertain the audience. hes not that dumb trust me.

Such a shame Lorenzo went, people seem to just make up faults on people they dont like,I never found Lorenzo boring,I like Julian too,but would have been happy for Lorenzo to win, infact I like them all except harvey and ashley, they are too childish for me:hugesmile:

Yeah I was saying last night how underrated Lorenzo was imo, he's actually played quite a big role in the house and been an interesting housemate to watch despite not being a very loud or imposing character. Julian on the other hand hasn't offered much to this series I don't think apart from a few cutting remarks and one liners, I don't mind him but I wouldn't miss him if he wasn't there

People expect to like Julian. And expected him to be funnier than he is - he actually has a joke writer as interviewed by jamie east on bbots.

Just this ^ Not much more needs saying when you have a housemate like Julian in there :) I am hoping he might still win :)

Julian is no more interesting than Lozza. In fact Julian has had no SLs and relied on a well trodden camp gag every 5 shows.

Julian whines about homophobia but has been oprnly heterophobic to Harvey Mike and Ash

I love Julian from back in the day of Sticky Moments, think he's been a proper loyal stand up guy in the house as well, and when he is amusing hes very amusing. But Ill agree Prince was way more involved and the only person who had the balls to tell Harvey he was out of order for the way him and his cronies treated Dan & Rhian.

I thought Prince was a top bloke personally, proper gentleman, and totally understood that Danica just wanted a bit of harmless flirty fun, didnt get all possessive and jealous like childish Mike and Ash.

Dont be foolish, homophobia is still very real, people get beaten badly for being gay, man died beaten to death by thugs for being gay not so long back. Has that ever happened to a straight person? Saying things like that is silly and misses the point of his humour... its to try and normalise homosexuality and force the daily mail quota of England to open their eyes to the way other people live their lives, almost like art. Just very camp and silly art...

The only ones worthy of winning are Coleen or Mike imo.. The rest have been pretty dull..Coleen provided the most entertainment out of the ones left.
