I don't think this is this has been mentioned on here, but cant find anything, so sorry if it has, but did anyone not think it was really strange that Julie never gave Julian a kiss & hug lastnight when she was leaving, I thought it really odd.

I never noticed that, yeah it's a bit odd but maybe she was just a bit over whelmed?

I thought maybe that aswell Niamh, but then again she went gave other HM's hugs, It just seem very strange to me, considering how close they were.

Tbh though I don't believe that Julie was even close to Julian in the real sense of the word. Everything about Julie seems so false and panto to me

I noticed, he walked her to the DR door but she just blanked him. Quite odd :suspect:

I just watched last nights shows (was out last night) & Julie DID give Julian a hug & kiss by the sofas before she walked to the diary room...

It will be good to see the HL's tonight to see how he reacts to her been evicted & weather he questions why she never gave him a hug.

Julian has been poisoned by his closeness to Julie.

Hard to see what he ever saw in the vile hag.

That's been the most puzzling thing for me.

I put it down to Julian demonstrating that he IS the kind and sensitive soul he reveals himself as in his autobiographical writing.

He's quick and intelligent and clearly wasn't blind to Julie's bad behaviour, or it's impact, but he failed to engage with anyone who brought it up.

He seems very close to his ageing parents, so perhaps his top priority was to protect her, no matter how appallingly she behaved.

I did think he might have tried to ask her to reflect on things and make some suggestions about how she might tone down her behaviour for the sake of keeping the peace, but he didn't.

He did say, 'Oh, well. I'm shallow', when talking to one of the HMs earlier in the show and perhaps that was a statement of intent rather than a true reflection of how he felt about any of Julie's behaviour.

I guess he's also had his fair share of working with some viscious old drag queens over the course of his career (I know I have and I'm not gay or a comedian!), so perhaps he's immune to even the worst of her behaviour.

He may just have a total fear of confrontation, although I'm not convinced, and be trying to avoid it at all costs - even if that has meant subjugating his own infectious personality as part of the process.

The atmosphere in the house seemed much lighter as soon as Julie had gone last night and I really hope that Julian finally comes to the fore now that he's free of her.

Considering they laughed a lot together i would imagine he saw her fun side.

Julian was the first she hugged as she was told she was the next one evicted, then he escorted her to the door after she had said her goodbyes to the others.
These 2 have a mutual admiration for each other and respect,as well as enjoying each others company and having fun all through the whole series.

In fact in all truth,it has really been 'their' series, they above all others ahve been far and away the most entertaining throughout apart form the Julie/Cheryl initial task on the first night.

That was toe-curlingly embarrassing. If either or both of them had performed like that at an audition, they wouldnt have been cast!

Julian's just lining her up for his comeback talkshow. He knows she's a bitter old woman but they make the best guests. You can even see him wince and bite his tongue each time she says she has "a gay man's brain" or other such sycophantic drivel. Condescending moo. Spent the whole series waiting for her to try and curry favour by telling Harvey she loved The Cosby Show and NWA!

LOLOL

I really hope he doesn't decide to slot her in to the new show that'll be touring after he's finished CBB. If he tried to drag her on stage with him, I'd have to walk out!

Totally agree, Julie & Julian have got on really well & had a laugh together, they have been the most entertaining housemates.

Julian's use to Julie was over, hence no meaningful hug. She's a user who took advantage of his good nature. just think he can have fun now he isn't her unappreciated carer.
