Absolutely ****ing elated.

I wanted Mike to do better than 4th, but I was so pleased my favourite took victory.

It's now happened 3 times... Kate/Rachel/Julian (Aaron counts as a favourite as well)

Well I voted no since I'm a massive Coleen fan, but he isn't an awful winner by any means.

I am so glad Julian won :) but also think The Sitch might have got runner up if he hadn't associated himself so closely with the two nobheads Harvey, and Ashley, and just intergrated more with the rest of the house.

Really pleased, he was the best person to win, a very well deserved winner.

Can i just ask why so many people are happy that he has won? Just to clarify i don;t mind he has won, he seems like a decent bloke, little cold and snobby at times imo, but fair enough i feel he needs it more than anybody else for his own self confidence. I am just surprised that he has won and that he is being described as a deserved winner?

Are people happy that he has won due to his reputation leading up to the house or happy that he has won as he was a good housemate? Because if it is the latter, then i just can't get my head around that.

I've followed Julian Clary's career for a while now, I've read his books, seen his tours and I'll be going to his latest one next month if I can get my hands on tickets, it's always nice to see your idol win a show, but he hasn't been the worst winner ever, he's been okay for entertainment value and has made me laugh.

He certainly made for a better winner than any of them bar maybe Sitch.

Julian was my least favorite in the house for quite a while. Tired, unoriginal one liners, and never once did the real person appear on the show. I have no use for HM's who are "on" all the time during a regular series. That doesn't change just because the house is full of celebs.

Well, if you don't "get it", I doubt you ever will.

Just hope that in future we have more HMs that are ACTUAL celebrities like Martin, Julian and Cheryl, rather than the bog standard usual offerings of vapid, stupid glamour models and an assortment of talentless jack the lads.

It's time BB and CBB stopped worshipping at the feet of "Yoof" and gave us more mature and interesting HMs with life experiences, charisma and personality.

How can one seriously use vapid in contrast to Martin, Julian, and Cheryl?

...Julian was the best of the bunch left and he did show a very endearing side to him (I don't really find his jokes that funny however do like his quick wit and observations)

I really would like to have seen Ratman & Bobin out before the final but Harvey was clever enough to create his little group...the thing that gets me is the HMs didn't get nearly as annoyed by their childish, petty behaviour as I did...maybe it's me then :)

Yep, I would've preferred a Martin/Mike win, but I also knew I'd be happy with a Julian one as well.

Yes absolutely over the Moon, I tipped him to win the moment I saw him go into the house. Thought he would play the Bitchy ice tongued Clary, but am far happier he just let everyone see the real Julian. A really nice , warm, sincere, genuinely funny man and a worthy winner of Celebrity Big Brother...!!!

Absolutely agree with this though I am dreading my phone bill arriving but so glad he won just for being himself.

**Yawn**...Is that response really necessary?

And i didn't 'get it' because it wasn't there to get.. I'm sure many of Julian's fans on here would say he wasn't the most entertaining HM ever, sure he had his moments (the story telling and the sales pitch) but overall he was rather quiet and out the picture.

I'm sure the less defensive Julian fans on here would agree that they voted him the winner due more so to his reputation than to his time in the house, which is fair enough if you are big fan of the guy i guess. The fact remains though, he was not a great housemate. If you disagree, then fair enough but you'd prove to be the only one 'worshipping' here if you did disagree.

Not insulting the guy, as i said above, i didn't mind him winning, i was just curious as to why people voted for him.

I'm really happy with the result. First time my favourite from the beginning has actually won. Looking at the poll I see that Julian was FAR more popular than all the moaning on this thread would indicate. I'm so tired of squishing through all the sour grapes that people are dropping all over these threads. You're allowed not to like a housemates, but let it go now or it'll eat you up alive.
