View Full Version : How come julie was sitting with the finalists?

Instead of with the other hms at the front of the audience??

And before the 'oooh she's just an ickle, ole disabled pensioner' brigade start - she was sitting perched on a bar stool instead of the lower proper benches in the audience.

And she sure can throw a mean over-arm banana for an ickle, old disabled pensioner - I hope the DWP was watching that. She also managed all those stairs just fine.

Soooooo ..... she's been given top spot in most of the tasks, not had to help out in the house and pretty much been waited on, not had any unpleasant parts of task to do (unless you count the sponge and cream 'pie' that nearly knocked her teeth out), she's been allowed her hairdresser in for hairdo and gossip sessions, she's been allowed to lie about other hms and not been taken to task for it outside the house, in fact she wasnt taken to task for anything in interviews outside, she was treated as one of the finalists in the final bots. Nooooo, of course this doesnt suggest diva-ish demands in anyway, how could anyone possibly think that??

The banana throw was the slowest throw I've seen, it wasn't some paralympic throw. And I love how your blaming her for producers giving her a top spot in some of the tasks. And why does it matter where she was sitting?

The producers quite rightly know she was the biggest star in there & must be treated as such :D

Love how they had the studio given a 'Corrie' style makeover too, with Jeff dressed as Bet Lynch :D

It was meant to be the White Swallow, not the Rovers. And to be accurate, she was the biggest hasbeen, not the biggest star.

They tried to force Julie down our throats from launch night onwards, and they were still doing it last night. I have no clue why... the public turned on her when they saw how awful she is. Being on CBB has massively backfired for Julie.

She's a cow. If you're a dick at 30 is that ok? Why then is it suddenly brilliant if you remain a dick for the next 40yrs and think the sun shines out of your rear?

I have a feeling you're not interested in the answer, only arguments to point out why you hate Julie.

She didn't find the stairs fine, she was helped by the same guy who helped her walk down the runway.

Her stool had back support, unlike the benches or any other chair.

She obviously isn't faking her disability and she must have felt like she could comfortably swing a banana. Pathetic argument by the way.

So she swung a banana for ten seconds was helped up onto the stairs and needed to sit on a chair with back support for an hour. Get the **** over it, the shows over.

So let's take stock of what everyone else has said about Julie... calling her horrible, calling her a cow, saying she was being perverted with a banana...

but my comment get's deleted because i said she is going to die soon? She's 70 years old. She IS going to die soon. What is the average life expectancy of a woman who smokes in the UK? It's a simple fact that she is going to die soon. So why was my comment deleted and why was I given a warning?

I'm being targeted by a mod.

If i said all the things i really think about Julie, then i can understand getting a warning and having it deleted, but i didn't, i just said, who cares, she's gonna die soon, let's just let the woman be. I really don't understand how that is offensive enuf to be deleted and get a warning.

Fair argument in my opinion. Should not have been censored. Die-hard (pardon the pun) Julie fans may dislike you for revelling in the obvious, but you didn't deserve to be censored from my pespective.

I can understand what you're saying but thats only valid if you think the vile, foul-mouthed backstabbers are entertaining, which I personally dont.

There have been loads of housemates who have been fun and entertaining without any nastiness and imo they deserve to stay every time over the ones who think they're doing the nation a favour by 'being themselves' when 'themselves' means making others feel small or making out to others they're small to make 'themselves' feel bigger. If they were in any way decent human beings they wouldnt feel the need to do that.

Yes obviously it was called "The White Swallow"... But it was made up to look like the Rovers Return, with the flock wallpaper, similar seating & even a blown up photo of a terraced street behind the audience, the reference to Corrie couldn't be any more clear :joker:

I'm sure they paid Julie the highest amount they have ever paid any celebrity, after all she is the biggest star they have ever had, so no wonder she was put on a pedastal on BOTS! :D

Infact I don't know why they bothered having the other hasbeen ex housemates on there at all as it was all about Julian & Julie, just as it should be...

And Coleen doesn't hang on to the one hit her & her vile sisters had 30 odd years ago?? At least Julie has actually had a career & not lived on the coast tails of a one hit wonder... :joker:

And Julie was very gracious about Coleen coming second, she holds no grudges, unlike bitter nasty Coleen, who STILL hasn't got over Shane Richie dumping her years ago... :xyxwave:

You say it all in that short few words.

All I have heard today is Julie as to CBB,endless number of people over the moon that Julian won too but it has been Julie's series and his really.

No, she tried to make it all about her and it backfired in spectacular style.
No doubt there will be a redtop expose how she was unfairly treated and battling depression or something within the next couple of days.

Martin might have been dull...but at least he was gentlemanly and said that he wanted to behave just as he did as a Dad when at home..

Julie OTOH was a mean-spirited, nasty, vicious, back-stabbing self-centered b!itch the whole way through.

Ok having looked myself on Wikipedia it says:

"Attention To Me" reached No. 9 in the charts

"Gotta Pull Myself Together" reached No. 9 in the charts

"Don't Make Waves" reached No. 12 in the charts

Hardly 'hits'...

Even their most famous song " I'm In The Mood For Dancing" only reached No. 3 in the charts & that was their biggest hit...

I knew 'I'm In the Mood for Dancing',went and listened to a CD of theirs though when Coleen went into the house, was bored after about 4 songs, they sounded tinny and the harmonies were really at best fair.
I don't even like 'I'm in the mood for Dancing'.
From the look of Coleen's face most of the time in the house, she was never really in the mood for that either.

I've read since she went in the house, she didn't join the group till after that song was a hit. A year later apparently.

Depends on your age, I guess. I probably know/could name an awful lot of songs/bands/artists from the seventies and early eighties, since that was the era I grew up in. Wondering where you are conjuring up your 1%, though.

What classifies as a 'hit' these days, doesn't have to sell nearly as much as what a band/artist had to sell to become a hit back then. In any case, it really doesn't matter. I care not a jot that you dislike either Coleen Nolan or The Nolans; I was merely setting the record straight regarding your comment that The Nolans were a 'one hit wonder', since you were clearly expressing an infactual comment.

flamingGalah!
10-09-2012, 12:21 PM
Hardly in "infactual" comment, they WERE a one hit wonder! They are only well known for that ONE song & their other songs barely scraped the top 10...

The 1% I was getting at was on this forum, not in general, I expect 1.2% of the general population could name more than one song ;)
