Not really.. Obviouslt the ski resorts up north have a lot of snow but we usually have fairly mild winters without extremities.... until 2 years ago that is! That was the worst winter I can remember; the snow was 2/3 feet deep in places.. stayed around for two months and we had temperatures aslow as -20.

Last winter was back to nmormal though.. everybody had bought their snow shovels and their wellies etc.. and we didn't get any snow at all! :laugh:

It's actually dry and bright here but its bloody cold! Definite change in the air... feels all autumnal!

I don't mind it autumnal, just wrap up all snug :) but we've had nothing but rain for the past two days and it's depressing.

Started going dark noticeably earlier now, nights creeping in, ideal for curling up on the couch with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate :D

ah yes, all good fun, my Josh is older now and doesn't bother so much about them, but I always buy some sweets and chocolate bars to give out for anyone who knocks. Having said that, last few years there have been hardly any, think parents are a lot more cautious about their children knocking on strangers doors, and rightly so.

My street is full of old misery guts! I take my kids up to a street nearby where 3 of my friends stay and we all go round the houses together... every house in the street is up for a bit if fun and decorate their houses, have sweets and treats ready... some even offer nice spiced wine (for the adults if course) .

I had quite a few at my door last year... some a bit too old for it and some hadn't even bothered to dress up! Chancers!
