Do you ever find yourself not bothering to watch programs or films because they are on one of the ITV channels?

I never watch anything on them anymore, I just can't bare the ads. For example last night we were watching 'Dante's Peak' on ITV 2. 15 mins in, ads. 20 mins later more ads, 20 mins after that, ads. It's unbareable and really puts me off.

I Sky+ everything and watch about 15 minutes after the start time then I can fast forward the ads :)

I can't stand them either

You lucky devils, as we only have freesat I don't know how to fast forward, I don't think you can on ours.

they seem a lot worse on the ITV channels, last night I watched the crash of Air France 447, the ads weren't to bad that was on C4+1

Also watching Live I pause for 4mins
when the ads start.
The Stop.

Cutting out all ads from total vision.

On freesat
you can get a Freesat+R
it needs two connections into it.

Then the the same as Sky & Virgin

The ads get on my nerves so I record everything on the commercial channels so I can fast forward through them.

I think you should write them a strong worded letter fruity :pipe:

I dont watch things on TV generally. Easier to wait a few hours for them to be on the internet then watch without ads. Or for films, watch them online to start with

when I was growing up, many many moons ago, there seemed to be a whole lot less adverts. Brooky for example always had one break for a half hour show. Films had at most three breaks iirc.

indeed Joe, I could put five 'commercial' breaks inbetween the words too just for effect

I go to the loo in the ads, or to make a brew

Very wise Kate, when I was watching BB13 I used to read the 'live' thread on here during the ads. I didn't really notice them so much then.

Adverts are so annoying but they are good for breaks etc.
