During last weeks taliban raid at camp bastion it has been revealed that prince harry was moved to a safe location.

Is this the right thing to do, and if so, justy what the ****s the point in him being there.

no point whatsoever. its costing a fortune and putting more soldiers at even greater risk. someone has to tell harry a plain simple "No." theres plenty of other work he can do in the army without endaberging more lives and wasting more money

The media shouldn't have been informed if he was going to go over there, it's already cost people their lives and the longer he stays there now the more risk other soldiers will face. The public shouldn't be made privvy to his army assignments. Just get him out of there and station him in a safer country.

It's ludicrious.

they may as well just place a huge big arrow on his head with the note "Aim here for best results".

Prince Harry, as far as his military role is concerned, is meant to be no more special than any other member of the armed forces: they don't announce everyone's else's placements abroad - it's about time they they shut up about his.

He chose that life: he should be treated equally - meaning he is stationed there without announcement - he takes the same risks as others stationed there - if the 'powers that be' cannot handle that - members of the Royal Family should not be allowed to join the forces.

All it's doing is causing unecessary endangerment of the lives of ordinary every day troops.

Tbf though I think Harry would prefer to be treated the same as every other soldier...he just wants to serve his country. The public should not be privvy to his whereabouts

My Nephew was on Bastion when attack happened, he had gone back on camp to carry his best mate who had been killed by the cowardly bastards onto the plane home,Harry IMO is making everyone else a target,in todays Star they are claiming British muslims are signing up to go out there, Good, take their passports off them and let them stay there

Oh Chuff. I'm so sorry to hear that - I think we all forget sometimes just how 'close to home' all of this can be for some. I hope your nephew is okay - hellish part of the job for him.

Harry is a professional soldier, well-liked and respected by fellow officers and by the men he commands. The reason this situation has arisen is because the press cannot be trusted with anything, they are an absolute disgrace. The story had to be broken before some d1ckhead journalist broke it. The only people really qualified to comment on whether or not Harry should be there are the troops that serve with him.

Completely agree with your first part about the press, completely disagree with the latter.

We've all got a right to comment on it - as well as having an opinion on the matter. The people that it may directly affect should have more weight given to their view for obvious reasons: but we all have a right to our view.

Yes, everyone has a right to their unqualified opinion.

Including the relatives, mothers, fathers, girlfriends, wives.... interesting view but not one I happen to agree with.

IMO if one single soldiers life is in danger due to Harry, then he should not have been allowed to go

You don't have to agree with it.

So very true, and I don't have to avoid commenting on it either.

My view too. If it places any more unecessary danger than there needs to be, then it is precisely that - unecessary danger.

blame who you like, its no consolation to the dead soldiers or their loved ones. harrys presence near the front line endangers troops and leads to more deaths and injuries. this has to stop now. its a disgrace. theres plenty for him to do away from the front line.
