Well Rebecca is happy with her choice - apparently serving in a bar isn't something she would rather do.... If she and her family are comfortable with it, and the £50 per hour rate: more power to her.

She earned £160 a week at a nursery before her £50-an-hour job appearing on a webcam.
Rebecca said: “The men are always polite and if I ever feel uncomfortable, I can end the session.
“My family know what I do and they don’t have a problem with it.”

Can you put a price on someones self respect, dignity and integrity.... ?? Yes I guess you can about £50/Hr

This might seem a good idea at the time but these young woman are dipping their toes into a sleazy world of exploitation and abuse. what starts out as a bit of relatively easy money to help put them through College may come back to haunt them if their academic plans don't work out. Faced with having to work some of them may return to the sex industry full time and wonder 10-15 yrs down the line how their lives became so messed up.

Not a decision to take lightly no matter how good the money looks in those first few weeks..!!!

I know someone who sleeps with people for money. She was always a bit of a sex-addict  I don't really see the big deal... it's not something I'd ever do but I can't place my hangups on someone else.

Nothing wrong with it really. But with cam models they just need to be a bit wary of how much personal info they give out. Like if they attracted a determined stalker they probably wouldn't be that hard to find.

We've all been bent backwards for a pot noodle.

If I'd done this kind of stuff when I was at uni, I can imagine something coming back to haunt me now, as it will with these girls. They're probably loving the attention and the money right now, but they'll come to regret it, I'm sure.

Depends if The Mock wants to release the photographs of them or not.

I don't think it's the best of ideas though if they are happy in the choice they have made - then if it all does pear shaped later - that's the choice they mjade. One girl in the photo Rebecca may know exactly the ramifications it may have on her career path later on, her family may also have made her aware - she's made her judgement call that she's doing the right thing for her - she's willing to take the chance.

Do I think it's wrong what she's doing? No , her body, her choice, her decision to gain financially which was the heart of the story - upping her funding through her Uni years.

Do I think it will negatively impact on her chosen career path later? There is every chance - and it's a chance she takes.

Two different questions/answers to two different slants on the story.

lets hope they dont catch and spread diseases. I could have been a profitable cigalo in my uni days , with my boyish good looks, but the thought of being paid cash for sex with a stranger makes me pewk. what revolting way to make money. Ive zero sympathy for these *****s

I'm not interested. Whatever gets the job done and all. If they're happy doing that to raise money then sure. But it sounds pretty gross anyway.

I don't judge her and others like her for what they're doing - fair play, money is money and she needs it. I just worry about the future ramifications for her specifically. This is now a news story that is out there - she'll probably never be able to get a job in the future where people won't some day realise who she is and what she used to do. Imagine sitting in an office wondering if everyone there had seen you naked on webcam? Horrible.

You're pretty stupid to be so open about what you do considering the checks a lot of bosses do on people these days

surely everyone judges others? how do you judge the 30 year old man who ran off with the 15 year old girl, or anyone bullied you at school etc? isnt that judgement?

Weird thing to get pedantic about. Let me rephrase my post: I don't judge her and others like her negatively for what they are doing - on a moral level I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of. If you're happy in your own skin and you want to make money from that confidence, then good for you, a lot of people wouldn't be comfortable doing that at all and it's a pretty safe way to earn money because you're doing it from the comfort of your home on your own terms, it's not the same as going out on a street corner and getting in a stranger's car or doing it in a bar as a pole dancer or whatever.

Of course we all judge people, I just didn't feel like I had to clarify what I meant.
