the rich get no free bus pass - are you pulling my Clegg ? 26.09.12

i understand the stress,
but is there need for fuss,
Nick has gone up in my estimation,
from banning the "well off" free bus.
you are in coalition,
this side i am glad you display,
because i don't want a puppet,
your balls dropped with no delay.
the interview was tense,
i saw your swet,
you are starting to realize,
lib dem leader is up for let.
its a disaster darling,
like Labour and the immigration scam,
you need to go and berry your head,
because when you take anything from the rich, its a slam.
i want to see more upset,
no i am not pulling your leg,
don't let the Tories dictate everything,
you keep standing up to them Nick Clegg.

( i got inspired to write this poem while watching Nick Clegg on a interview on the news justifying the taking away of the bus pass to rich people. i fully support his decision but he has got one hell of a long way to win me over, and i just think he will crumble before that happens because if there is one thing the con party and there supporters hate
loosing is - money.)

I dont think the likes of Alan Sugar need a bus pass or fuel allowance, those are the pensioners he is targetting, good on him if he can accomplish that.

Hes targetting those with 'assets' over 1m. Now, while I agree that people who are well off shouldnt be getting benefits and I agree with this in theory...assets over 1m doesnt necesarily make someone rich. They could have bought a house for 20 grand 50 yeasrs ago thats now worth 1m or something, all their money is tied up in the house, and they cant access it unless they sell and are actually surviving on very little cash. yeah some will say they could sell/re-mortgage the house to get some cash, but I dont see why they should...

I know quite a few elderly, well-off people who hand their fuel allowance to Age Concern voluntarily. More elderly, well-off people should be encouraged to do the same.

It has some merits to it however overall I agree with Vicky as to as how she sees it too.
I guess it sounds good just before you have to give a speech to the party faithfull, however it will likely be another item on the long list of things the Lib Dems under this clown would like to do but even when they have say in power, don't get round to doing anything as to it.

He didn't want to cut by 10% the 50p tax rate either,he'd have kept that but he allowed it to be cut anyway.
What this man says and what he does and actually goes out determined to deliver, are a world away from each other.
