Actor Herbert Lom, best known for playing Charles Dreyfus in the Pink Panther films, has died aged 95.

The Czech-born, London-based actor starred opposite Peter Sellers in several films as Inspector Clouseau's irritable boss.

Lom appeared in more than 100 films during his 50-year acting career, including such classics as The Ladykillers, Spartacus and El Cid.

His family said he died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday.

Blimey, that's a good age !

absolute complete and utter legend. magnificent actor, very handsome and charismatic and great with words too, his list of movies is amazing, el cid, spartacus, shot in the dark and all the pink panthers, the dead zone, ladykillers, night and the city , hell riders, hopscoth,young mr pitt (as napoleon),dracula, ten little indians, also a legendary tv series called the human jungle etc

I loved the guy, he was brilliant in everything he did, intelligent, funny, charismatic, versatile,he played musicals on stage such as the king and I and phantom of the opera, he played a trapeze artists in dual alibi, played several historical figures too, he could even hypnotize people on set, these are movies will be enjoyed forever!
