Is it getting to that stage with her? People have had it with Rihanna, Lady Gaga and a few others recently...

Indeed because of her pregnancy break but I suspect it will get to that stage with her at some point.

It's a shame she got properly famous with that god annoying song. Hometown is much better.

She's been pretty quiet actually, it's hardly Gaga or Rihanna

I wouldn't say that she's overexposed, she's not exactly been suffocating us under the weight of endless albums ala Rihanna. I'm quite looking forward to her bond theme though, she'll be a good fit I think.

At least it's an overload of someone that's actually talented

Don't even think it's an overload really

and Someone Like You is still an incredible song
people who complain that they hear it too often maybe need to stop listening to Radio 1 all the time

Subconciously I think people get annoyed of her because of her weight

I agree Nathan.

Its died down now
but at one point you couldnt go on any radio station without set fire to the rain, rolling in the deep or someone like you playing which pissed me off

Go to the Cable Music Channels then where it's just Rihanna songs playing.

I dont like Rihanna either so your point is irrelevant

Thankfully you don't hear Someone Like You as much anymore but I became so sick of that song after a while

well it's not really irrelevant, the point still stands that virtually every music channel and radio station is incredibly mainstream and the mainstream focuses on only a handful of music. But every time this is complained about idiots just reply with "omg you're such a snob!!!" comments, so it's a no-win situation

Someone Like You was played anywhere and everywhere, which became pretty goddamn annoying, but she is a greatly talented artist with an amazing voice. The problem is, if the same thing happens with the Bond theme, and it's over exposed, people will become pretty sick of that too. Sometimes a good thing can become too much of a good thing due to media overkill.

How is it an over-load? Haven't heard anything about her in ages.

She's kept a pretty low profile this year.

Rihanna on the other hand, now she is the definition of overexposed.

I really like Adele and she has been pretty quiet lately,so I don't think there is an 'overload' at all, infact I hope she doesn't leave it too long before we hear some of her new stuff, she doesn't court fame as a lot of others do.

I only think SLY got overexposed rather than her personally e.g Rihanna or GaGa. I'm not her biggest fan but tbf I never hear about her in the media these days

It's only her music that's overexposed. Otherwise she keeps out of the media - it's not her fault that her music is played everywhere. I don't think it's been an overload at all - she put singles out without much fanfare and just let the music do the talking and it caught like wildfire.

I always complain about it, i would love a bigger variety of music to be played
Adele seemed to be even more overplayed though as she seemed to appeal to a vast range of tastes, as she wasnt mainstream pop.

this thread would have been a lot more relevant 6 months ago, it's kinda died down around her now

But im waiting for everyone to start bumming her again when the Skyfall soundtrack is released
