Also say you've got a discount rail card to get it cheaper, the conductor won't check half the time

Then just say you forgot it, even if they make you pay the full price you won't be charged any more than it would have cost anyway

I book them on FirstGreatWestern over a month in advance for uni, can usually get tickets that are normally £29 for £3.50 :D
I love the trainline, got to weston super mare from oxford for about £8 :spin2:
Also ITILYT in the future, book in advance (if you know about it obviously) it'll be so much cheaper :)

Try and book at off peak times too if you can. Generally after 9.30 am.

The annoying thing about booking tickets in advance is that you have to catch your train at the specified time. Cheaper.... but a pain in the bum.
