Some people have already received it on their boxes and it looks like this

It looks amazing  Has anyone else's box been updated yet? It hasn't happened to mine but I can't wait :amazed:

I checked it the other day after that thread was posted but it hadn't appeared, I'll check it again later. It just appears itself doesn't it?

Doing a forced update could help

1.Hold the power button until you get the Red LED (If your box does not have 3 LED conditions Red, Amber, Green then switch off at the wall socket).
2.Press the boxes backup button in the middle and keep in held down.
3.Power the box up either with the remote, if the box is in standby or at the wall socket.
4.Wait for the 4 LEDs to come on.
5.Release the backup button.
6.Follow the on-screen instructions.

I don't want to try this though it'd probably break :suspect:

I got it when it launched the week before last. It doesn't just have 7 day catch up either. Some of the programming featured goes back up to 4 weeks. The BBCiplayer has not launched yet though and there is no date yet for when it will go live. 4OD will not arrive either until Spring.

Incidentally, for any Bond enthusiasts who have the movie package, there is a new 007 movie channel that launched yesterday, and all the Bond films are available to download from the box set in the on demand section.

I don't even know off hand. At the moment though, the new software is only available on Amstrad DRX890/895 boxes and it will be coming to DRX780, Samsung and Pace boxes in the coming months.

I just meant whether you have a Samsung/Amstrad etc, lol. I don't know the exact number of mine too. All I know is that it's an Amstrad :suspect:
I read somewhere that your box needs to be connected to your internet router? I hope this isn't the case though because for some reason we can't connect ours.

Yeah you do, because the catch up stuff is done by the internet and you download it, the technicians should do it for free if you contact them

You just need an ethernet cable from your sky box to your router.

I would but my internet router is literally on the opposite corner of the room, since that's where the main telephone socket thingy is.

Get a massive ethernet cable

You can purchase a wireless router. They were £60 but Sky are now selling them for £9.99.

I do have a wireless router though and it's a new one which was sent the other week
Can you use any router for any ISP, if that's even the word? D:
This is getting way too technical.
