He is planning to jump out of his capsule and break the sound barrier while in freefall he was due to go up at 2.30pm but was delayed because of the weather.

Now approaching 70,000 ft and they have had to jettison some ballast because the crosswinds of the gulf stream are taking him off course at a higher rate than calculated.
