I am in year 12, just finished my first term if sixth form. But it isn't going very well :( I took Art as an A-level and i am really struggling, I got an A at GCSE but i seemed to of lost all the talent i had :/ i haven't enjoyed any of my courses yet and I'm stressing out every day. I am thinking about dropping it because it is affecting me badly. But i don't want to :/ I haven't done any work in 3 weeks because it all hasn't been good enough. I am also thinking about dropping Biology because i am finding it extremely difficult!! i can't keep up in class and got a U grade in my mock :( So i can't drop both so what do i do? I'm thinking about dropping out of sixth form all together as i am really not happy there!! Any advice guys? Appreciate it.
..it sounds as though you're struggling a bit Jamie..I think you should talk to one of your tutors..tell them how it's all feeling...I'm sure they'll help you find your focus..don't think about dropping subjects until you've talked over with someone whether it's the right thing for you....
...good luck..I hope you get it sorted out....

Are you considering applying to university?
Don't feel bad if you're unsure what you want to do. Many feel the same.

speak to your 'head of year?'
is that what you have or do you call it something else? Anyway, they will always be the most help in this situation

See a tutor, if A levels is not for you they'll put you onto a BTEC course which is fairly less stressful.

Thanks, will probably talk to her before friday. It's hard when you have siblings/cousins who are straight A students :/ I'll have to see how it goes, i will probably drop one because it's too much atm. Thanks for the advice :)

Hopefully in a few years. But i need the grades, and not sure i'll get them anymore. May consider taking a year out and trying again next year.

You've still got time on your side, you could do other types of courses that are more focused to get into Uni if that's the path you still want

..don't think about your siblings/cousins....you don't necessarily need to be a straight A student...you only need to concentrate on what you want and what grades you need to get it...talk it all through with your tutors/head of year...and decide what your aim is...talk over how you can achieve it..forget about anyone else...
Might be worth sticking at it for a while, you're only a few weeks in right, things could easily get better. Worst comes to worst you could retake the year or change to something else if you really don't think A Levels & Sixth Form are for you
