Getting On (& HBO remake)

Jo Brand/Joanna Scanlan comedy on BBC4, Wednesdays 10pm (although probably repeated often)... any fans?

I like it. Not the funniest thing on TV but at the same time better than most BBC comedies (Mrs Brown's Boys, Miranda, anything on BBC3)

Not seen it though just the name Jo Brand is a pretty good recommendation in itself. I'll give it a try :)

HBO have commissioned a remake of it and the pilot aired on Sunday... it's got a fairly decent cast: Alex Borstein (Lois in FG), Laurie Metcalf (Desperate Housewives, Roseanne) and Niecy Nash (Reno!911)... Molly Shannon and Daniel Stern also have small roles.

It's pretty faithful to the original show (i.e. slow, dark, no laugh track, a bit morbid. Lovely.)
