I watched it on panorama 18 months ago it was shocking viewing but hardly made a ripple no doubt it will get a good run now the outrage bug is in fashion at the moment.

This is another thing I am fed up hearing about happening to vulnerable people from people who should be caring for them.
I am equally fed up by Govts saying things will be done to stop this happening again but then it still does.
This was pretty awful to hear about and the bits we seen too were awful.

..yes Jack, some people are that small..and doing stuff like this somehow makes them feel bigger....and they're too stupid to understand what it really makes them....but at least they'll pay for that inexcusable stupidity...

I heard one of the "care" workers who had been convicted of these crimes on the Court steps apologising but saying they were under a lot of pressure working very long hours..????

Excuse me.....!!!!! So working long hours entitles you to assault and physically abuse people who are already vulnerable and in your care. And to do this just for "kicks" is beyond belief. They should all have received custodial sentences and all the other prisoners should be informed exactly why they are there. See how they like the same treatment...!!!

These private care homes have nice premesis, glossy brochures... But scratch beneath the surface and you find untrained, uneducated, underpaid and understaffed 'care' facilities. These have NOTHING to do with care and EVERYTHING to do with profit.
