They've done a few animated things already though haven't they? Wasn't there that whole Clone Wars series
http://thenextweb.com/media/2012/10/30/disney-purchases-lucasfilm-including-the-star-wars-franchise-for-4-05b-in-cash-and-stock/
Media giant Disney has purchased movie and TV production house Lucasfilm for $4.05B in cash and stock. Star Wars Episode 7 is targeted for release in 2015, with more feature films expected to continue the Star Wars saga. Lucasfilm founder George Lucas will act as a creative consultant for the next film.
Sounds like it might be a proper new film according to this :suspect:
Not sure whether this is good news or bad news. I do love Star Wars though
King Gizzard
30-10-2012, 08:20 PM
I suppose it will probably primarily be focused on Palpatine being reborn? and Leia/Hans/Lukes kids? The possibilities are endless
King Gizzard
30-10-2012, 08:23 PM
I don't want it to turn into a running Saga like James Bond :( 1-2 films maximum
They can try and they can try but they'll never have another Darth Vader
King Gizzard

One of my least favourite Characters
Hopefully it's about the Old Republic and is set thousands of years before the events of the previous six
King Gizzard
30-10-2012, 08:38 PM
Yeah thinking about it they can't really lead straight on from the ROTJ because they won't have Ford/Hammill/Fisher, unless they be dicks and completely re cast them
So it will have to be the Old Republic or the next Skywalker/Solo generation
One of my least favourite Characters
Don't be so stupid :idc:

Yes please.
King Gizzard
30-10-2012, 08:44 PM
Weird how KOTOR is set ages before but everythings basically the same
Agree about Vader, bit lame how he can only trudge really slowly around everywhere :idc:
Think if they made the film of KOTOR they would obviously have to go with the ending of Bastila going to the darkside and joining Malak i forgot what the other ending was now i think you could join Bastila and kill everyone of your companions or something
King Gizzard
30-10-2012, 08:52 PM
Agree about Vader, bit lame how he can only trudge really slowly around everywhere :idc:
The Obi Wan vs Darth Vader in A New Hope is just cringeworthy
Found it funny how there was white wookies in that game as well
Think if they made the film of KOTOR they would obviously have to go with the ending of Bastila going to the darkside and joining Malak i forgot what the other ending was now i think you could join Bastila and kill everyone of your companions or something
Think some of them stay with you after you join her but some refuse, can remember if you were really being a bastard you can force the wookie to kill Mission to stop her running off
Agree about Vader, bit lame how he can only trudge really slowly around everywhere :idc:
What on earth is wrong with you both how can you not love him, he is very clearly one of the greatest and most iconic sci-fi characters of all time
It was hard to take him seriously because Obi Won made him look weak, he took the piss out of Anakin all the way through Episode II and III by telling him he wasn't ready yet and then shortly after he left him disfigured and crippled and then in Episode IV he let him kill him
King Gizzard
30-10-2012, 09:02 PM
Obi Wan would have finished him off as well :idc:
Don't know why he's so popular, probably just the mask
He had no emotion at all anyone could act him
Had lots of emotion he did
Darth Maul was the best Star Wars villain, bit of a joke how he died

When he was first linked with Star Wars the reports said he'd play a Sith so you're probably right. It seems like he turned down the part of Nightwing in the new Batman films to do Star Wars.

Gareth Edwards, director of Monsters and 2014 Godzilla, is to direct a Star Wars spin-off film to be released in 2016.
British director Gareth Edwards, who made the recent Godzilla movie, is set to direct a Star Wars spin-off film, Walt Disney Co has confirmed.
The unnamed film will be in addition to the forthcoming Star Wars trilogy, the first instalment of which will be directed by JJ Abrams.
Writer Gary Whitta, who penned the script for 2010's The Book of Eli, will write the screenplay for Edwards' film.
The film is due to be released on 16 December 2016.
In a statement, Edwards said: "Ever since I saw Star Wars I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life - join the Rebel Alliance!
"I could not be more excited and honoured to go on this mission."
Whitta echoed his sentiments and said the "opportunity to contribute" was "literally a dream come true".

A man who was taking publicity shots for a flying school returned home to find he had captured images of spacecraft from the new Star Wars film.
Matthew Myatt originally thought his pictures of the Millennium Falcon and an X-Wing fighter were experimental aircraft in Berkshire.
He said: "It wasn't too clear until I viewed the picture and then realised what it was. I grew up with Star Wars so I started jumping around."
Episode VII is being filmed in the UK.
I love how they added arrows to the pic lol
