FEMA the federal emergency management agency that responds to these extreme weather disasters , romney and ryan wanted to cut earlier in the campaign...they claim this is big scary government? what about the coastguard , what about the firemen , the emergency services, the police? where exactly would america stand in the face of a 1000 mile hurricane without a significant emergency response unit? leave it to the private market? yeah like the health service?
where an unisured man having a heart attack and spends 36 hours in hospital then gets a bill for $56000...a year later he gets diagnosed with cancer, the treatment cost $110,000.....in the meantime his house is only worth $130,000 so even if he goes and lives in a cardboard box, he cant afford to pay for his cancer?
I like the free market, I hate government waste and I do believe european governments are too big and the european parliament is a nightmare of red tape and waste......however I like balance....I like competition not monopolies and I do not believe everything should be privatised to allow these monopolies to fix prices and create cartels the way opec do with oil
health and coastal defence is right at the top of the list of what government is for...sadly in UK the NHS is becoming a sad joke with dreadful nursing standards allowed to neglect thousands who die through incompetence, yet the bris arent allowed to criticize nurses as theyre strangled by liberal politically correct nonsense....everyone should be open for criticism and praise...the fact theyre not criticized is exactly why the system fails
but obama isnt a huge taxer hes middle of the road and hes pretty much right in most areas of policy imho
