Ammi, Tuesday's child is full of grace! :nono:
..well, I wasn't going to tell her Saturdays child works hard for a living..that wouldn't really persuade her to hold out now would it...we've all got our tactics Ben...
Benjamin
13-11-2012, 10:46 AM
Mondays child is of fare dodging race,
Tuesdays child will fall drunk on their face,
Wednesdays child is a full-time ho,
Thursdays child has nowhere to go,
Fridays child is paid for giving,
Saturdays child will become an alcoholic for a living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
will be like ukturtle and shaun, amazing and gay.
Benjamin

Also is Vicky having a home birth or hospital birth? Or do you have to have a hospital birth with the first?

Vicky.
14-11-2012, 05:58 PM
I am online :p
Hospital birth. I think I would be allowed a homebirth if I wanted one because I havent had any complications or anything throughout the pregnancy...but the thought of HAVING to do it with no drugs (planning on using just g+a hopefully, but if I need it I will take the diamorphine  ) and also the tidying up afterwards and that put me off a lot. Also IF there were complications the thought of trying to get into hospital in time while in so much pain scares the **** out of me tbh. And am hoping to use the hospitals birth pool too :)
Kate!
14-11-2012, 06:01 PM

I was induced at 10am with my first and had her by emergency c-section at 10.50pm. I had 3 shots of morphine and gas and air and remember being completely out my face, bouncing on a big blow up ball wearing a pair of paper knickers.

You'll be fine....just make sure they don't forget to numb you before they start if you need stitches....I think the doctor thought I was being dramatic when I hit the ceiling but she then said...oops forgot this!!

D: Oh dear
Will definitely make sure of that. Might even try to get them to knock me out for the stitching part
Vicky, buy some homeopathic Arnica tablets and take them into hospital with you. Start taking them right after the birth and you'll heal quicker.
Vicky.
23-11-2012, 10:24 AM
Will do. Am at gateshead atm (as its closer to the hospital and I convinced myself I would be going into labour last night  ) and theres a herb/alternative medicine place just round the corner so when I can be arsed to get ready will go and see if they have any :D
Unless its not altenrnative medicine and they sell it in boots or something, in which case I have never heard of it

Boots definitely sell Arnica cream but I'm not sure about the tablets. The health store would be your best bet I think :)

I know you like a good poop story
Vicky.
23-11-2012, 11:26 AM
Yes apparently a lot of people poop. One of my reservations about a water birth. At least if you poo when doing it on land they can get rid of it...in the pool it will just float around you :bored:
Vicky.

Ugh isnt pregnancy so glamorous

I know I just hope she is with someone #worriedfromleeds haha
She will be ok :) There will be plenty of shoppers about if Vicky needs any help, plus I am sure Vicky will carry her mobile with her.
Wondered if anyone knows how Vicky is? Has she had her baby yet?
She's in hospital now I believe!
