A man whose job it is to jump on mattresses has spoken out about his occupation.

Reuben Reynoso is hired to jump on three mattresses a day in Potrero Hill, San Francisco, according to SFGate.

He said: "It's work - it's not for everybody. There is a right way and a wrong way to do it.

"This is not a game. Not to me."

Specifically, Reynoso is responsible for trying to find lumps and other imperfections with each mattress he tries.

He works methodically, jumping in a grid-like pattern to ensure every part of the surface is covered.

Reynoso's previous jobs include being a carpenter, roofer, construction worker, railroad engineer and maker of corn syrup, but he said that being a mattress jumper is the most satisfying, as he helps to provide a long-lasting product that will be a major part of customers' lives.
