I do, I can't see Karma not existing, and it co incides with my belief in re incarnation so even if the Karma isn't instant it carries on into the next life.
Wbu?

We had a thread on this like a year ago, it caused a bunch of drama if I am remembering correctly. :o Anyway, I do not believe in karma.
sort of, its a tricky one.. because it could just be coincidence, but i'd like to think it exists. I believe in re-incarnation and past lives though

I believe in Karma, like when I've done bad things I will always have bad stuff happen to me and vice versa.

Is it all in our heads, or a real thing? http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/pp32/sharkattack_torrential/shifty.gif
..not karma as such..I do believe certain things are destined to happen...
..I hate when something bad happens to someone and there'll be someone who didn't like that person and they'll say...'oh that's karma'...what a horrible thing to say about someone's misfortune...

Find it funny how people who have no belief in any type of Religion whatsoever will then go in believe in something like this which has no theory/background to back it up whatsoever

example, hundreds of miles of motorways,a car parked on the hard shoulder what makes a car leave the road and hit that car?.

I'll post my more agressive reply from 2010
Karma does not exist. Just like God doesn't. There is no special forces controlling anything in your life. If you think back to all the decisions you've ever made, they all relate to something practical. So in a way, it could be said our choices are pre-determined, but not by god or anything like that.

Nope, there is no such thing as karma, how could such a system exist? It suggests that there is someone or some force keeping record of everything that happens in the universe and then decides if some sorta opposite action or retribution is required.
It's just a make believe thing that makes people feel better or more secure in their lives. It's not real.

karma,if you keep doing bad stuff to people one day you will do it to the wrong person and have bad stuff done back to you,
same as good deeds will come back to you.
..some people never do anything wrong in their life and they are troubled with problems..nothing but bad things ever happen to them...

I believe firmly that we have to account for the lives we lead. I refuse to believe that people who are utter b*stards through their whole life and do well do not have to pay for that at some point. Whether you'd call it Karma or not, well, I suppose that's up to you. As a species, we think we know so much, we think we're so clever and in reality we know hardly anything. It's more to do with belief than knowledge, and I believe there comes a time when you have to pay or you are paid.

I agree with you, but then isn't it weird how populations control themselves? Like if there are too many rabbits, there will be an increase in animals that hunt rabbits or there will be a disease that wipes out enough rabbits to restore equilibrium. I believe this applies to humans as well - every time medicine advances to cure something, a new, worse, more difficult to cure disease takes its place. I'm open to the idea of karma. Maybe it's just in human nature to draw conclusions about coincidences and that's all it is, but I think it's a nice idea all the same. I like to believe that if something bad happens to me (I break my nose by falling in the shower, I get an STD despite not having sexual relations) then something good will happen to me at some point in the future to balance it (I gave a really good presentation on Friday and the lecturer personally congratulated me afterwards)

..I'm not sure, it would be nice to think so, but I tend to think that it's more we learn something from things (no quips)..we won't realise or appreciate that at the time, because something horrible is happening...but somewhere down the line we will benefit somehow from every experience....I think there's a reason for everything..or most things anyway...but that's not the same as karma...

Yeah, see I can get behind your logic too. I think that's one of the best (and worst, depending on how you look at it) things about life, we're constantly trying to figure it out as we get older.

..and we never get any closer to figuring it all out....
..that's what makes it all so interesting...
if my head was full of magic then yes
but my head's fine so no
