So with Christmas only 40 days away and the shops already in full swing with it, what is on your wish list this year?

And what are you buying your loved ones?

I'm a last minute shopper usually. I spend ages researching stuff and looking for value for money. I make lists and everything, add it all up. Then I go and buy it all in one go. However what I love getting people are extra little jokey gifts, stockings fillers, and these I will buy as and when I see them. So I normally buy one proper gift and a couple of extras per person. Except my son. He's the only one I spend what I'd call a lot on.

I buy throughout the year when sales are on. Particularly at places like next. You can get a real bargain in the sales and always looks a great gift. I bought my other half a new laptop a few months ago so he is done apart from a couple of wrap ups. My friends and I just buy for each others kids and we have a £10 limit. My little boy still doesn't really understand Christmas but when I ask him what he wants he said toys and clothes and books and boxes(?) an chocolate.

One of my sisters seems to think she deserves ridiculously expensive stuff after she had a holiday abroad just 2 months ago. Asking for a £60 coat... pfft. I think me and my sisters always set a price tag for presents, which is like £30-35 for each other. Makes life so much easier. It's a pain atm though because they haven't all told me what they want yet

I would like world peace. And I might get vouchers for everyone else.

I hate it when people say they just want money/Vouchers because i like going out and buying things at Christmas and it's a bit boring just giving money, sometimes i just buy something as well if that happens though

I have three nieces to buy for... they're ten, eight and four. I have no idea what children want. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I am not really in the mood for celebrating it at all this year, I might as well be Arista, I just want a new coat.

Already had my main present, my phone. So I'll only really want small things... couple of CDs, DVDs, some clothes etc.

My mum wants loads of comfy stuff, so I'll get her a hot water bottle and snuggie blanket thing, and I was going to look into getting a new light fitting for the front room. My brother wants either a new wallet or a football, my older brother I usually buy some after shave or something, and my sister wants something called a 'flat peak cap' :conf2: i've no idea what style to get, though. Oh and I'm not sure what to get my niece, 'cause she's 12 and all moody now, so...

I think I'll probably get a group-present for the housemates too, something like a tin of sweets and wine. That's the one up-side of my loan coming so late, I've now got loads of money for hardly any of the remaining term

Buy them iPads! :amazed:

(I usually buy kids some pyjamas or clothes, when I can't think of what to get them.)

My wish is that my house doesn't get burgled or damaged by local thugs while we are celebrating Christmas in London.

I loved the ones you'd see on TV, where they'd have a whole railway set up in the attic

I literally ordered my Amazon wishlist, well about half of it, well got my Dad to order it. I've already got tickets for 2 musicals for me and my friend as well and a bit of money.

I have no idea what to get anyone else though, I only have a few people to buy for.

I don't really want anything even though I will get lots.

For my sisters and sister in laws I will probably buy perfume sets and pyjama sets, I think my brother wants trainers.

My older nieces and nephews are getting £25 each in a card and toiletries.

For my youngest niece I already have a disney 3 in 1 minnie mouse easel thing since she's constantly going on about colouring in and she's addicted to stickers, I also have her a doll that walks with you when you hold it's hand.

I have my youngest nephew a remote control robot and will probably just buy him some clothes too.

And I wait until nearer the time to see what my OH want's it's normally clothes, computer games, dvds etc.

I think my father in law wants Championship Manager for the PC and I'm not sure what my mother in law wants yet.

Everyone else gets toiletries or gift baskets.

I don't really want anything. And usually just buy other people alcohol, wine is always a good one cos it could look really expensive but actually cost a fiver.

I'd give you pointers on that, but I'm yet to master that skill.

Can't really think of anything I want this year. Once you pass the age of about 16 you end up buying most thing you want throughout the year anyway.

Dunno what to buy for people either, but I usually just come up with something off the top of my head a couple of days before
