Well they are, original and prequels
if i was having a star wars day, i'd watch 6 film's starting with phantom menace and ending with return of the jedi (that's not a trilogy)

if i was having a godfather, back to the future or lord of the ring's day i'd watch 3 film's (a trilogy)

Ammi
22-11-2012, 07:07 AM
..but they're still two trilogies even if you choose to watch them back to back....

Alf
22-11-2012, 07:19 AM
..but they're still two trilogies even if you choose to watch them back to back....
but then your suggesting that it's not a continuous story. and that the prequel's have no relevance to the original's

Ammi
22-11-2012, 07:23 AM
..LOL no...I'm saying that they were made years apart and as two trilogies and it's how Lucas himself describes them....

SharkAttack
22-11-2012, 07:37 AM
Mad Max trilogy, only because it wasn't mentioned yet. Several other good ones said. :D

Ammi
22-11-2012, 07:49 AM
..yeah, Mad Max is definately worth a mention..I would have liked to say Terminator as well but they excluded it by making a fourth one...I don't think I've seen that one yet....

Kate!

Star Wars consists of two trilogies. Both Trilogies have their beginnings, middle and ends and the character and story focus is completely different It's like saying that The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings aren't two seperate trilogies.

Ammi
22-11-2012, 10:59 AM
..I think I'm going to go with Dezzy on this one....

Different settings, different characters, different focus. What it's called matters little.

Star Wars isn't a continuous story, it's a story told over two parts which each consist of a trilogy of films.

BTTF. Scream. Home Alone without the 3rd and 4th one. Beethoven without the 3rd, 4th and however how many they did. Problem Child without the 3rd one.

can't you just admit when your wrong? for once in your life, i proved it to you, it's called star wars part 1-6 which means there's 6 film's in the saga, a trilogy only has 3, which mean's i'm right and your wrong. so let's just leave it at that with me winning.

Names mean nothing, everyone treats it like two trilogies because it is.

what would make the most money?
selling them as 2 trilogy's? or selling them as 1 boxset?

selling them as 2 trilogy's obviously

but i know there's 6 part's, and you know there's 6 part's, a trilogy has 3 part's

don't be fooled by the marketer's, their evil
