Just making a casual anger thread because I need to get this out.

Basically, there is a gay girl who works for the company I work with (it's like a company of nurseries) and she always worked at a different nursery because she keeps getting moved to different ones cause she's always got a problem somewhere. But I only met her once or twice and thought she was lovely. I told her I liked girls and everything, so she gave me her number. I didn't want it because she's not my type at all, and she has a girlfriend. I text her anyway because I felt rude if I didn't

she told everyone at her work she was texting me, and then they were like 'oh show us the texts then' and she was like 'oh no, it's private'. So now all of them think **** about me, and there's a girl who's just had to leave my nursery to be swapped with her, and I saw her tonight, and she told me that people think that about me. And the other girls I work with (we all went on a night out) thought something too. So this gay girl has been talking about me and Im absolutely ****ing furious. I had to deny that I as gay because I'm not ready

All of this because I was being ****ing nice.

Outing someone is massively looked down upon in the gay world, if she actually did it she'd only make herself look bad, just confront her and ask her why she's letting other people believe that the two of you are an item when you are not together, and ask her to set the record straight, because you will be. What a cow though.

It's probably a bigger deal to you because it's touching a nerve with you but the girls you work with probably aren't giving it anywhere near as much thought as you might imagine they are, especially considering this girl is a known liar, in no time she'll have made up something else that they'll hear about and think 'bull****.'

a similar thing happened to me when I told a lesbian girl I was bisexual hoping for some kind of acceptance. Less than a week later she tried outing me but nobody believed her because she was such a gob****e. :laugh: She did show texts to my friends though, so I did end up having to tell some friends, which sucked because I didn't feel ready. (But that girls a ****ing psycopath and is probably pregnant with demonspawn now)

So yeah, just keep your head held high and in future only open up to people you can trust until you feel ready :) If she is a gob****e like you say she is then nobody will believe her, so don't fret about it too much. Whether you want to stay friends with her or not is your decision, either way I don't think things will end too badly, as long as you're not a complete **** to her.

I've been in a similar (although less antagonistic) situation myself. I'm not out yet either as you know, but anyway I was with this guy and he kept going round and telling all my friends about us without my permission. He kept pressurising me into coming out too and I just wasn't ready.

So then I broke things off and for about 4 months after he kept making snide comments towards me in every conversation I was in at the same time as him (we're in the same sort of friendship group at school). :bored: He's gotten past it though and we're sort of friends now but still, he's a absolute dick. :hmph:

I told my manager and she was furious that all the girls were talking about it. She said that they arent supposed to talk about all that kind of stuff outside of work and that they've been told before. So the girls got told off, which I didn't want to happen. I don't know what is going to happen to the girl who 'outed me' but hopefully she is stuck by lightning or something.

One of the girls has deleted me off of facebook, which sucks because she was one of my favourite people to work with.

I'm just devastated tbh. When I told my manager, I thought I would be okay, but then I got really upset.

I pretty much just got confidence at work. Now it's completely shattered.

Caitlin, you know the story I PMed you about that person who did something similar to me? He did the EXACT same thing, he played the victim, he said "well it's not my fault you're annoyed at me, I'm really upset that you won't forgive me even though I've done nothing to you."

How do you even respond to someone like that?

The answer is, you don't. You ignore them and you just act like your pleasant old self and just wait for them to **** up with someone else, and then someone else, until eventually everyone sees them as a joke.

I think you should probably go to the rest of the girls at work and tell them you're sorry that they got shouted at, you only wanted your boss to have a go at the girl who's done this to you and you tried to make it clear that you weren't upset by them and that you're very sorry they got told off. The worst thing you can do is not talk to them about it, because it gives her the upper hand to be like "oh we all got shouted at, let's hate Caitlin together" - if you make it clear to them what you wanted to happen, they'll appreciate the gesture, and maybe try to remind them of the stuff she's done in the past that they've told you about so that they realise that it's just the same girl getting up to her usual bull****.
