When are you putting up your Christmas tree?

I really really really want to put mines up just now but OH says no :bored:

Usually mid December I think. I think it's time for me to take control of the tree arrangements this year though, I shall be making sure it goes up on the 1st.

I'm putting outside lights up this year :amazed: They are going up Friday latest.

I've just brought a new tree :amazed: and the expected delivery isn't until the 5th December so they will be going up on the 8th/9th

Lol. Why does that make me a scrooge? When I was a kid we never put the tree up until Christmas Eve. I don't really get that Christmas feeling until that week in the run up to Christmas, but I may need to get one a bit earlier this year as I have had trouble getting a tree in past years due to leaving it too late. For many years I got one from a local farm. So expensive though. Great when I timed it right and got one of the last few for a discounted price. Scrooge indeed. :hmph:

I was only joking, but Christmas Eve? thats really late for putting up the tree.

We were only allowed to do so then. I was also made to go to church on Christmas day before I was allowed to open my presents. They usually consisted of an apple and a tangerine in a sock weighted down on the mantle piece. :bawling:

I have seen no end of peeps Christmas decorations up the last few weeks now :o so they have probably got their trees up also, I even got my first Christmas card a few days ago. Maybe it's because the world is supposed to end on the 23rd, so they want to celebrate early? :joker:

My Mum usually starts with it the week before Christmas, Christmas eve is when she prefers it to go up though.

I have no idea LOL my sister buys all the stuff for the tree..... :D I have a mini tree for my room and outdoor lights....i'll post a picture of them later though.
