Annoying company telephone calls?

What do you do when you get them? I listen first to see if it is them, if not and someone from them speaks then I put the phone down LOL.

Although I do check if it is not them at first to make sure it is not someone I know calling and I haven't got mistaken LOL!

There is usually a delay when it is an "international" cold caller, so I put the phone down before they connect.

I get very few calls now but if I do I tell them I'm registered with TPS and they shouldn't be calling me. They either apologise or more usually, hang up. Register with TPS here: http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html

I just leave them talking,lay the phone down and go and make a cup of tea or something or carry on with what I was doing and then eventually go back and check they have gone.
They are paying for the call so I let them ramble on a bit.
