What does everyone think has he really done enough to win the show in your opinion?

I dont think hes done enough, but he'll end up winning

I think it all depends on who makes the final 4 if its the dullards then yes Pete deserves to win 100%. Pete is a deserving winner because he is "nice", shame really we cannot have a gameplayer who wins or atleast someone who isnt as obvious. I would rather Pete won than Glyn.

Up to now he has IMO but im worried because of Nikki he might get depressed and some1else will steal it but he seems to be getting back into himself now

I think he does deserve it
Because hes been a big part of the show.
Him, Nikki, Grace, and Shahbaz have been the big names this series.
He has his entertaining moments, his niceness has nothing to do with it.
Ive laughed at him.

I do think he deserves to win, but everyone's kinda got used to the idea now...so i think he may have lost some fans, due to predictabilty

i dont think hes done everything but everybody likes him

I'm not sure as each series goes by it is less clear who the winner should be.

I think possible he feels the pressure of everyone saying he's the winner, but he does need to get back in the game. If someone starts being funny and having fun in the house he could easily be eclipsed.

Well I think pete still might walk, he has done what he wanted to achieve ...torretts awareness so if he wins or not i don't think he will mind.

No he has done nothing to be a worthy winner , Lets be honest what has he done to make him favourite except suffer from torrettes and he really should'nt win for that reason. I don't dislike Pete but he has'nt done anything interesting.

You gotta like the guy....he's as worthy a winner as we're gonna get this year.

Sorry I dont agree there must be someone in there who deserves it more or are trying harder

I can't think of anyone myself ,Nikki would have been a good winner but blah blah blah.

Edwin

He's not funny. He can't stick up for himself. He has no opinions on anything, and if he does, he says it to the camera in the diary room, to avoid conflict and looking aggressive to the public, and to make it look like "he's too shy to confront anyone, awww!" give me a break. Other then tourettes what the hell does he have? No intelligence? Imogen has said more intelligent things than his choked up unrealistic spiritual crap. I'm sick to death of the bloke to be honest, i'm not saying he's not a nice person, because maybe he is. But being nice isn't much of a big deal if he's nice to everyone. Why the hell do you want someone who is nice to everyone, regardless on their views and thoughts and feelings? It just shows me that he's dull and has no opinions, eurgh. everything i dislike in a person to be honest. All he is, is a bloke with nothing interesting about him other than cuddles, no depth, but he tries to make himself look interesting by acting like an idiot and wearing colourful clothes.

SO NO. HE SHOULDN'T WIN.

anyone apart from him.
Realistically, the people i want to win have no chance of winning, so there is no point in even mentioning it.

He DOESNT deserve to win

If it was entertainments sake Aishleyne, Jayne and I really hate saying this but Nikki are the ones that should win.

I find it hilarious how all these people say Pete should definently win yet when it comes to putting their finger on why he should they go "errrm...hes a nice guy".

If I wanted to watch a "nice guy" on tv I would watch the frikkin Passion Of The Christ.

Our Lord Jesus Christ...now thats a man that deserves to win Big Brother.

I like Pete, but i don't think he deserves to win. There are more entertaining people in their then Pete.

Edwin
20-07-2006, 07:33 PM
he's about as entertaining and recording the word "w@nk" and looping it over and over.

Pete without Torrettes is like a jedi without the force...very pointless.

Mike
20-07-2006, 08:09 PM
The reason i started this topic was because i wanted to hear what people had to say, my personal opinion on Pete is that he is a sound lad and pretty much anyone can get on with him however entertainment wise he hasn't done a great deal and also it annoyed me at the amount of people saying Pete to win after about two days, to me it just looked like people were saying it because he has tourettes, i wouldn't mind if he won but he don't deserve to IMO.

I suppose people will try tell us that him falling down the stairs at the beginning of Big Brother was due to his torrettes...

What has any HM "done"? In my opinion, participating in the tasks, being a sound HM, and generally being part of the group and a kind person is what I expect.
I don't think the winner should be the loudest or the most obnoxious. Then Shabaz should come back and win with that logic.

Also, as far as Pete to win from day two - I was there from just about day one. Not because he has Tourette's, but because he's got the most star quality of any HM. Plus, he's the only HM that acts like any of my real friends do, and seems to be from the same kind of "people" as me and my friends.

I don't expect other people to like Pete just because he's kind of an East Village/Camden Town/Brooklyn type, but that's why I do.

Don't be silly. That was a pratfall. He's an entertainer, and he was "on."
If he wasn't surrounded by whining gossipers with the personalities of mushy peas, he'd be "on" a lot more.

But everyone just says "oh he'll be himself once x person goes" but each time he's just more boring than before. And when he wasn't boring, he was just a one dimensional idiot. Well, that's what I think.

you've pretty much proved my above point.. if he can't cope around other personalities then why should he be a worthy winner? People like Imogen and Michael have coped around Richard.

I don't live in Brighton, but I do live in the Lower East Side of New York. Pete would fit right in here.

and how the hell do you get big brother UK over there? Don't you prefer the USA one..

In my opinion a big brother winner should have these qualities:

Humour
The strength to stick up for themselves
The strength to stick up for their friends
Strong enough to not break
Be able to bounce back from downfalls
Being themselves
Charisma
Be very spontaneous and playful

Pete has one of these and that's charisma...that's about it.

agree with all of that, but you should add "we've seen every side to them" because I think that's important.

and lambruscokid are you going to reply or what? :conf:

I don't think he has done enough to win.In the first few weeks he was pretty entertaining but from then on in he's not really done a lot. He's far too afraid of saying what he really feels in case he upsets anyone and this has led to him being fancied by the females, he's nice to them and recipricates the attention they give him and then it's no suprise that they have feelings for him and yet he does not tell them straight that he doesn't fancy them.

He's just not doing enough for me to win.

Edwin

He treated the women badly I thought.
They fancied him, but he just went cold on them and latched onto another woman, which would of made them upset, i thought that was well out of order.

He seems to go around all the women who give him attention one by one but never really commits to liking them or disliking them.Bit of a tease really.

yeah, if he could actually tell them the truth and say he wanted to be friends and not then go rub it in their faces by toying with someone else i would of respected him a helluva lot more.

Sorry - other questions!

I don't care if he's funny or not, I'm watching because I like the HMs, they don't have to be comedians. Nikki was funny, but you wouldn't want that 24/7.
I just think Pete gives the house great energy, and he's a good guy.

As far as the bit about coping with other personalities, sure, but why does someone have to be a social chameleon to be cool? Right now, he's down because some of his best mates in the house are gone. Who wouldn't be?

I get the show by downloading the episodes through BitTorrent each day - and I've got the live feed from Channel 4 (just had to make my IP look like I was in the UK).

I've actually never seen the US version. I heard it wasn't as good, though. I don't know if I'd want to watch a houseful of Americans for thirteen weeks.

you don't like your country much, don't you?

And i don't see why his "friends" have gone makes him so deppressed, everyone else has lost their friends and they have been fine. She treated lea and Nikki so badly, why does he regret it now? :bored:

Maybe he might realise that he's the reason they have been chucked out anyway

Haha. I love it here. Just not sure I'd want to watch the kind of people that would be on BBUS.

As one example, try watching the Apprentice US v. The Apprentice UK. Very different contestants.

Seeing that acronym v. calling it BBUS just made me laugh, because I was thinking of what else BBUS might stand for. Since there's BBLB, perhaps there should be a show called BBUS - "Big Brother's Ugly Sister"
