the rest is utter drivel, judges faking arguments, producers manugfacturing opinions and holding up dummy cards for the audience to clap or cheer or jeer....then competition time, cue adverts and in between the manipulative vt footage of the contestants sob story.......15 minutes fo actual music in a show running for over 60 minutes....what a bore what a disgrace....bring back top of the tops (minus the perverts)

I agree, the show has lost the plot but then it was starting to in series 7 when Katie survived as many times as she did, especially when it was against Aiden and it was only his first time in the bottom two yet they send him home.

And this year is so bad that they have to hype up Chucky, and the new voting format this series killed off all the good acts imo as they was all unknown going into the lives and was sabotaged by being on late all the time meaning they couldn't catch up in the votes.

Always been the way really, don't bother watching the show on Saturdays now and just watch the performances on Youtube, only tune in to the results show for the last 10 minutes as well seeing as the first 45 is just filler

Come now Mock, thought you'd have accepted by now that Katie was simply just a better singer than the tone deaf Aiden

The X Factor is and always has been an entertainment show first and foremost, and a talent show second. I honestly cannot comprehend how some people, nine series in, still fail to understand this and are riled up at every incident that proves this to be the case.

Just see the show for what it is - an entertainment show. Saturday (and Sunday) night entertainment. And a bloody brilliant one at that too. It's TV, it's on a commercial channel, there's advertisers to please, controversy sells - what on earth do you expect? The Voice tried the whole 'we're a real singing competition' in a spectacularly narcissistic fashion and look how that turned out. Without the dramatics and spectacle that the X Factor offers you're left with a karaoke competition in all its glory, and that, ultimately, is dull.

Just embrace it, we've had some great entertainment out of it this series. The Deadlock drama from Week 1 with Louis, fag-ash breath, James/Ella bottom two, the Baloney saga, Rylan/Gary's banter. It's been great.

This year has been **** as alot of the dullards have made it to the end, Rylan just bored the tears off me like any TOWIE person does and Union J got really far because of one good singer in the group.
