So how come they have to have their microphones on at all times, but when they whipped everything off and leapt into the pool, we could still hear them?

Because they have other microphones around the place which pick up the sound.

Yeah they have mics by the pool and come down from the ceiling like in the bedroom when they are asleep we can hear them still.

They should glue Jaynes to her, I can understand first few days difficult getting use to it and remembering get up, get dressed, put on mic but she has been there a while now so she has no excuse.

The thing that I find weired is; when BB says to the HM's "Would all housemates ensure that they have their microphones on at all times." - Why dont they name the hosuemates?
Or Can't they tell?

They can tell, all the microphones will have an individual channel they send to.

Remember they knew Johnny had gone to the rich side because his microphone could be heard.
