What albums do you think were overrated?
Personally I think My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was quite overrated. I do think it's a good album but I don't agree that it's a masterpiece, Graduation is much better imo and I think most people were just jumping on the bandwagon.
Another huge one is Rated R, it just wasn't good at all and it annoys me how GGGB has been overshadowed. At least Pitchfork got their review right though.
Idk maybe I just prefer music that is "fun" to listen to

All the Beatles albums because they are boring (jokes I love em <3)
21 definitely for me, I like Adele, but never got the hype for 21, 19 is by far superior for me.

MBDTF is 2nd to College Dropout imo.
Ill stick to this year...Channel Orange is over rated for me. I think that was a case of jumping on the bandwagon. Tbf I think Frank is over rated on th whole though.

[2] for Channel Orange tbh. I like him and his music but don't love it nearly as much as everyone else seems to on here.

Channel Orange. Probably isn't even top 5 R&B of the year.

Suburbs - Arcade Fire
in terms of it receiving the most critical praise when the first two completely own it
Couldn't get in to it
Word. The Suburbs is a pretentious piece of garbage. Neon Bible was just above average. Funeral was a total masterpiece.
They're essentially getting worse and worse.

Rihanna-Unapologetic _ I think I'm the only human who prefers Talk That Talk and was let down by this album!
Adele-21 _ I don't even know where to begin with this >:(.

Radiohead - Kid A.
I do like it... it is good... but it's widely regarded in the top 5 of the 00s and I just don't rate it that highly. I think In Rainbows is better [let alone OK Computer and The Bends but they're 90s so meh].

it was time for it to go ;)

Born This Way - Lady Gaga
Yes she has some great songs, but the hype isn't needed. It's no where near her previous album.

Drive a stake through my heart. How To Disappear Completely, Optimistic and Motion Picture Soundtrack are the best songs they've ever done.
In Rainbows is amazing though, obviously.
But ... :( :( :(.

Any album that has Let Down on it is always going to be the winner

What a nonsensical post.
I used to listen to Let Down and walk in the park in the mornings instead of going to lectures when I was having a bit of unrequited love difficulties. Also lots of Atmosphere by Joy Division.
Fun times. I'd need The Wonder Stuff or Abbey Road on the way home just to cheer up.
