That's called a hot toddy.
I usually just blast myself out with night nurse of a night to ensure some sleep, then battle through in the day, for a cold.
Flu is a whole different ball game. I usually get people to buy slim fast shakes for me, so at least I'm getting stuff into my body, which is really hard to do when real flu beats the **** out of you.
I can recommend the banana ones. My mums chicken and vegetable soup is also heaven when you're on the mend, but being ill with flu is just about getting through it.

I know - it's in the post title ..... ;)

Now THAT is very, very nasty - a real killer .....
Coconut Oil, consumed 3/4 times a day and it can also be used to clear the sinuses and as a cream for the dry skin around the nose that some people get when they have a cold
I actually use this stuff for everything even cuts and bruises but it really works because it has anti bacterial, anti viral, and anti inflammatory properties.
I should be on commission for advertising this stuff tbh.
