yes they should
Doubt it, he said he was 'wondering' if he'd have a new stage.
No need for change anyway - the current one is pretty much spot on. I just hope they tone down the theatrics this time - there's absolutely zero need for the stupid dance routines or models to walk the celebrities in - and keep the eye closed during the eviction interviews.

Alot of fans will disagree with this.
The area is to small when ive been to evictions we have literally been crammed in and its half the size of the old space.
I think that staging should only be used for finale nights.
PS: Marcus are you just agreeing with everyone? You said you wanted cars yet agreed it should stay the way it is? Which is it lol

There probably won't be. I quite like the opening eye so let's hope that's still there!

If those ****ing topless waiters are back :bored:
What we do need to change, however, is the presenter. The launch/evictions/finale will always seem tacky when presented by Brian Dowling.

Agreed.
Brian would be amazing on bbbots as hes more relaxed on there.
Emma would have been perfect as the main host as it seems like a woman should helm the main show.
I would however settle seeing them host together.

I really don't think they will change the stage for this series. But didn't they say they would be changing the interior and exterior for BB14?

I do really like the exterior as it is now. For BB14 they need to change the screens back to how they were on C4, I liked them but I now think they look a little tacky. And I would remove the turning platform. Is it really needed? its just a waste of space and money, they make it so dramatic when it turns to let someone in. Its only a tiny little platform. What if it broke on an eviction? How would the housemate get out? The stage doesn't need changing, only if they change the shape of the eye.

The reality is (nobody thought of this) If, The Voice decides not to return to Elstree for it's second series or if BB Starts a bit later, they could hire the studio out and build a interior eviction studio. This would give way for a better exterior.
Or, if they got rid of the tacky Audience Stands and swapped the stage to the other side of the set (like BB5) then we would have a better and larger audience.

That's quite true. Even though I do like the stage as it is now, it was special to see the stage there in the finale nights!

Does it matter? The money has been spent on it now. And it's probably operated manually, like the exit doors (which have never broken in the countless years Big Brother's been on air).
I for one think the rotating bridge is the best part of the set - it makes the evictions seem far more ominous.

Even if it isn't, weren't Endemol recently granted a three year planning permission extension for the outdoor set-up?

Ah. Yeah you're correct they signed a lease on until 2015. From one of my old articles:
"The 30 portacabins and Exterior Stage are set to be kept as Endemol has filed for planning permission to keep them there for another three years, which could mean Big Brother is set to be renewed up until 2015."

I believe the BBC have now block booked the George Lucas stage (presumably the old BB studio as Dancing on Ice remains in the other) for the next couple of years while Television Centre is being refurbished, so as well as The Voice Strictly will also come from there next year.

I do think that they should change the exterior, perhaps moving the eye stage to the left and ditching the stands. Something that I think that they should do is have a BBAU - style screen, with the live streams from all of the cameras in the house on eviction nights.

I honestly think they should find a completely different location for the house. Somewhere rural, dedicated to just the house and a huge crowd.

Endemol have booked out the Plot of Elstree currently basing the cabins ect until 2015 anyway.

They have no reason to move until 2015 if they renew the contract and Elstree get rid.

So it can have a bigger crowd, more contractual freedom if they have a dedicated space and so they don't have to keep the noise down at night in the garden (if that still applies).

I would prefer a bigger crowd.
It makes evictions look like more of an event.
This is why I don't like the idea of it being set inside, having it out in the open with screaming fans makes it seem better imo

They should also get rid of those awful spiral stairs, they haven't been inside the house for almost a year now, why are they still outside? You can also see all of the scaffolding that holds the arena up on screen as well!
