Pete- Was he the most obvious winner in BB history?

I liked him and still think he deserved to win (the first month he was excellent but he did become a bit deary at times with the whole Nikki love thing and dreaming of his friend (which was a feel-pity-for-me voting tatic)but he did have a few smattering of good BB moments) but once he fell down the stairs walking in he was Favourite and was never toppled from that fav spot. Looking back i can see now he wasn't the greatest of Hm's to ever grace BB's history and it shocked me how he held on to that fav tag without slipping back once as he was pretty boring and moody for about the second month.

So why do you guys think he was so popular back during BB7?

He seems to be hated a lot on the forums during BB7 and even more now . The Forums were very Pro Aislyene during that peroid (i was never her biggest fan even now i still don't get the big love in she gets from BB internet fans).

I liked Richard but i feel he was quite Bitchy at times which led to many great moments and he was really Grace's Gangs thorn in their side. But he had so many dislikers and as well as fans to really win sadly. Sadly overlooked now.

Glynn i really couldn't take too. I liked his friendship with Imogen (a real underrated part that was quite touching) and his young lad learning the ways which was really fun but he had a nasty side to him and if he never got his way he really showed a darker side. Plus the Dermot/BBLB love in for Glynn was overboard too which really rubbed me up the wrong way. He was the closet Hm to beating Pete.

met pete at an audition for bb10,after watching bb i had it in my mind that he was being fake!,but after meeting him,it was clear he was being genuine and he is a great guy!.

Great :) I never felt he was fake apart from the Fiend/Dream thing which was cheap attempt at pulling in votes.

Cool, I think he played all his cards early after a great first month and all the mothering from the women in the house (which he din't turn away from and led on at times) really smotered him out of been a great Hm plus that Fake Nikki romance was another knock on him.

Noirin played them guys good but she never hide her bitchy side and once her ex fella came in she really showed her colours as a bit of a playa.

The Girls threw themselfs at Pete to be fair and he took advantage. Nearly all the women jumped in bed with him :hugesmile:

I agree their is a double standard but Noirn didn't play it as cool as Pete.

When he lost a few of his enemies he sort of became Pete's shadow sadly, But he really was one of the unsung heroes of that BB,

IIRC, Bennett was "groomed" by Endemol, being allowed to take part in 2 dry runs - he was intended for BB6, until it became clear that he would be overshadowed by the more "volatile" elements of that series, so he was held back and his "disability" was given a lot of of pre-publicity prior to BB7 and the "endearing" pratfall prior to his "introduction" to a more "sympathetic" household.

As it turned out the talentless pot-basher was probably the most boring HM ever, since he couldn't string an intelligent sentence together and relied solely on his alleged sexuality and "winning potential" to generate tensions among the equally unintelligent but apparently impressed fawning females who surrounded him.

As we know, he made a fortune from the Xmas edition of his heroic "autobiography" but blew his chance of a recording contract by failing to display any musical ability whatsoever - his much-belated and amateur effort "Cosmonaut" finally selling a few thousand copies to peak at no 28 in the singles chart in 2008.

Whether he was the "most obvious" is debatable, since the dreadful Belo certainly runs him a close second and the appalling Stout is in with a chance.

I think he would have won BB6 myself, the house was full of funny but nasty so and so's. Most boring hm ever?? even you know Omah thats a bit unfair :joker:. He certainly isn't the most enteraining ever but he had his moments falling into the pool and using of the women were funny.

The pot bashing was annoying though and his music creditability is zero . He wasn't a bad lad

No i'm glad Nikki didn't win. The girl had her haters so she would neverhad won but she was the producers favourite no doubt but she became a cartoon character and overplayed things.
