UPDATE:
Jim Davidson Arrested by Operation Yewtree
A 59-year-old man was arrested this morning by Operation Yewtree. According to local news agency INS, this afternoon police are gathering evidence outside 59-year-old TV presenter Jim Davidson’s house.
In October Davidson wrote on his blog:
“The Savile witch hunt is going a bit silly now. We all are starting to speculate and accuse … even in jest. So no, I don’t know who’s next. Well, if I was in the pub with the lads it would be a different story. Everyone has had the nod. Everyone is an expert. Just pick someone you don’t like and say it’s them.”
“I read a thing today where someone saw Jimmy Savile pinch some girl’s bum. Apparently, that’s *sexual assault. Where will all this end? As odd as he was, Savile can’t defend himself. The bloke’s dead for God’s sake. Let’s move on.”
Davidson is rumoured to be going into the house for the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, starting tomorrow evening…
UPDATE: Confirmed: Jim Davidson was arrested this afternoon at a West London police station.

Looks like it, apparently a thread about it earlier was deleted there (usually done when something can't be discussed).

The Mail have now deleted their tweets, injunction?
i know it odd
I dont even see why they are doing this Jimmy Saville investigation a waste of money as the result will be inconclusive how can you find someone guilty of something when they are dead and can't defend themselves?

They're not putting his body on trial :joker:, they're investigating those connected to him who they've had accusations against and trying to avoid more of them dieing without investigation.

Oh my mistake  I gave up on this story months ago when it looked like it was turning into witch hunt! I still thought they were investigating Jimmy Saville directly.

It could be a Dave Lee Travis like arrest, he was arrested by the Savile police for sexually assaulting adult colleagues, but the evidence bag thing does suggest something grimmer.

VETERAN comic Jim Davidson has been arrested by cops probing the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal.
Davidson, 59, was one of two men arrested today on suspicion of sexual offences as part of Operation Yewtree.
He is understood to have been detained at London's Heathrow airport after flying into the country ahead of a planned appearance on telly show Celebrity Big Brother, which starts tomorrow night.
Police said a 59 year-old man was arrested in "west London" at noon and taken into custody at a London police station.
Uniformed police were stationed at Davidson's pink-coloured home in Stockbridge, Hants today.
And, earlier this afternoon three people - believed to be plain clothes police officers - arrived at the house and let themselves in. At least one was carrying clear evidence bags.
Asked if they were police officers, one answered: "We might be."
After entering the property they drew the curtains on windows on the ground floor.
The second man is understood to be a fellow entertainment personality, who has worked with Davidson and is a current BBC employee.
Police confirmed a 53 year-old man was arrested at an address in Hampshire at 8.00am and taken to a nearby police station for questioning.
They are the ninth and tenth people arrested as part of Operation Yewtree - the investigation into sex abuse allegations against Savile "and others".
Other high-profile names include former pop star Gary Glitter, comedian Freddie Starr, and publicist Max Clifford.
In a statement, police said the new arrests were not directly connected to Savile, adding: "Both individuals fall under the strand of the investigation we have termed 'others'."
Last night Davidson's agent Laurie Mansfield declined to comment

I actually think alot of people will tune in IF they keep the "will he won't he" idea going until tomorrow.
It's entirely up to him now I think, he'll be advised against going in but there's no law saying he is forbidden (unless Channel 5 put their foot down).
"Innocent until proven guilty" and all that I guess.
