Good cast just it dragged so much, they could've done a lot more and there were too many ads.

Some good house-mates.

But very slow and dragged.

I thought it was terrible, but I think its mainly down to how repetative and dragged out it was.

It dragged on for ages but it was a nice twist, a few housemates which will clash and Zeebox pretty much confirmed it has done well ratings wise.

Im sorry but how the hell can you have heard of a zleb like Rylan and not

Kathy from EastEnders

Toadie from neighbours

Claire from steps?

Have you been living under a rock or are you just like 8 years old!

Its your own fault youve only heard of Rylan!

Expose yourself to celebrity culture and you may not be so disapointed in future

I seem in a minority here but I didn't think the launch dragged at all, it was interesting and the twist was a good one too.
I also thought Brian did his best presenting yet.

I agree with daniel-lewis-85,that these housemates appear to be a good set this time too.

I thought it was the best twist C5 has done ever yet... although thats still not saying much
I really like a lot of the new housemates except i really dont like the looks of razor it seems like he trys way too hard
I think a lot of Soap Stars> a lot of unknown models, but still it would be good to have a little more variety
but overall i think it was pretty good! My second favourite C5 LAUNCH ( we'll have to wait and see how good the series is )

I've heard of Steps, not Claire. I've heard of EastEnders, not Kathy. And I'm 17, but saying that...I've known most of the other celebs in previous series, so...

Can't say I did to be honest. I liked the twist but it was executed terribly. Bring two housemates onto the stage, go through 5 minutes of pointless chatter, sit through an ad break then repeat again for the next two hours. It was awful.

I would have preferred it if they either brought all the housemates in as normal then at the end of the show ask Rylan and Frankie to send 6 housemates to the basement or just saved this basement twist for tomorrow or later in the series.

It dragged for 30mins too long. But I think the twist is great, super casting by production and I reckon it will be a fab series. Will hopefully have a higher launch then the last series giving it a higher series average.

Yeah I liked it. At least we didn't get any camp dancing at the start, thank ***** for that, let's hope they ditch it for the summer too.

The reason why there was dancing last time was because it was a Vegas themed house.

The twist was good I thought. It'll set some of them off in the right directions, Speidi in particular are clearly not happy.
We'll see how it goes. There is sadly signs of a showmance starting but hopefully there will be enough going on elsewhere so that it doesn't take too much away from the series.

The basement twist was better than having another hidden mic twist like all the other Channel 5 CBBs. Line-up has some good characters, coulda done with just 1 or 2 more recogniseable faces like some of the names we've all read about

Lostie!
04-01-2013, 05:32 PM
It was decent, but a little anti-climatic. I like the cast, but the constant ads ruined the atmosphere, it got ridiculous.

And why have a couple in as one contestant, stupid..always is.

On the 1 hand I'd have liked to have split them, Samanda, Jedward and K&K up to see how they are as individuals but on the other at least their votes all count as 1 because it'd be an unfair advantage if people that already know one another are in the house

All you do is only allow them one nomination. Much better if they can be nominated separately.

Or alternatively go back to original concept of having a group of complete strangers in there. No spouses, partners, brothers, sisters, mothers, daughters or anything.

I think the only time I'd quite like to see HMs that know each other nowadays is if they copy BB USA 4 and have ex boyfriends/girlfriends because it'd be interesting to see if they do nominate each other or they learn to get along. But that's it

So you have watched the show religiously.

Auditioned and failed to get on multiple series and spent your (i assume) hard earned money on it?

Yet you are telling me to get a life?

I have watched since day 1 but i am a self confessed Big Brother geek you however seem slightly bitter because you were to boring a character for the producers to pick you.

Agree about the ad breaks but its the same with X Factor.

I remember watching a film on Channel 5 not so long ago and there were so many ad breaks it stretched a 90 minute film over 2 hours.

They added a nice little news update in there aswell which i was very pleased about.

thats the thing,i dont have hatred for big brother and if i did i would be very sad,
i did not say directly to you to get a life it was towards the so called people that hate bigbrother!
you have a passion for big brother, and for a long time i loved it,but its all changed,as a show and the audition process,
i was was one of the people that did the 15 hour days to get thru the first round and six mini diary rooms running at once with one minute to sell yourself
but its all changed not even open auditions this year!.
at this moment in time im not willing share my history with bigbrother with this forum.

Yes, I did enjoy it.

However, I didn't like the fact that two housemates came out together.
I also didn't like that 2 HMs were present together during the second HMs interview, if you know what I mean.

My main gripe was this:
Every housemate should enter and exit through the main door (unless they walk or are thrown out for misbehavior). I think they should have entered through the front door, then gone to the basement

You literally talk like you are the only one whos watched from day 1 or the only 1 whos applied.

Theres many members on here past and present who have watched since that very first episode in 2000 and who have also gone through the audition process.

I dont get why you think you are better then any of the rest of the forum by telling them to get a life when you watch the exact same show and post in the exact same forum.

But seeing as the basement is just in the task room in the garden it would have spoiled the illusion that they had actually gone under the house.
