Columbo is not pants. The only thing that bothers me about it, is that he knows who did the murder in the first five minutes but it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrest the guy. I would prefer it if Columbo appeared at the scene of the crime and just said
"You did, you're nicked. Just one more thing (must get his catchphrase in!!), you have the right to remain silent."
