View Full Version : The problem with BBLB?

This show has got increasingly dull recently, heres why i think:

-The whole show is trying to make everyone laugh, but usually it just wastes airtime, it just seems like they're trying to outstage BBBM when it's a wholly different show.
-it's on E4. Why the hell did they do this? It used to be on channel 4 and that was so much better, i can't watch it in this room. Why can't it be on at 6:00? Who cares about repeats of the simpsons anymore?
-"call BBLB" There is no point in this, half the time you can't hear what they're saying, we have BBBM for the public's opinion on housemates, so why do we need this? It's a pointless waste of airtime.
-"BBLB news" it's all trivial nonsense that doesn't get into the highlights, and that stupid faux suit he always puts on is just getting lame, and is completely unfunny.
-The guests, they're all the same! No-one controversial.
-The interviews - they're so dull, they ask the same questions, they barely give the guest a chance to speak about what he thinks of the housemates, it's more to do with what they think of the tasks, or housemate's singing skills. This can be entertaining sometimes, like when they talk about how crap their clothes are, but most the time it's just boring. Also, the guests always seem to be nice about the show, why can't they say stuff like "that task wasn't that good" why can't the show raise more interesting questions about BB?
-The legnth - it's so short, maybe if they didn't fill it with endless blather and calling out phone lines then it would seem longer. BBLB on sundays seems to be filled with useless quizzes.

I think BBLB should be more about getting to know the housemates better, maybe some decent questions. And i remember when they had psychologists on the show, and they used to observe their handwriting to see what it says about them and stuff, that was much more interesting. But now thats all on BBBB which is pretty crap aswell. BBLB should just be on friday's and sunday's IMO.

Does anyone agree with me at all?

Yeah and also Glyn seems to be shown everyday on it which i don't think is right.

Yup it's like the Gyln Show!

I agree with -some- of your points. Especially about it not being shown on C4 at 6. It would get MUCH more viewers if it was.

I dont mind it being on E4 & I dont think BBBB is crap.

But i pretty much agree with everything else you say.

i agree, glyn is great, but they don't need to go on about him so much when there are other good housemates in there.

It's a shame, channel 4 are too happy about their hollyoaks/simpsons combo.

BBBB is crap because Dermot barely knows what he is talking about, and it's too short. Something as big as psychological anaylist of housemates deserves more airtime. Also, i sometimes get the feeling that the psychologists give certain housemates a hard time, and don't raise any positive points about them. Perhaps a way to sway the public opinion?

I still like BBLB because it was the original show but I think they need to make it longer by 10/15 mins just because to me it seems rushed.

Definately needs to last longer, alot of the time Dermot has to rush parts of the show just to keep to their time slot.

I agree on most parts tbh, BBLB was at it's best imo during BB5 when it was on at 6 on C4 which was a ratings winner and they did the things such as picture/handwriting analysis, they spent more time on the housemates which was much better imo then as already stated wasted with alot of nonsense now!!

Yeah, I agree BBBB is dull,i've watched it once or twice, and that was enough to put me off.

I quite like BBLB still, but i do agree it feels very rushed, and i found the fake suit Dermot wears quite funny at first, but now its.. But i still enjoy watching it, it gives me a laugh here and there.

I think it's good, i just think dermot seems out of place in it, as he doesn't know much about psychology. It's got a good point to it, but it also feels rushed like BBLB.

Dermot makes me laugh, he's ironic and kind of laughs at the show and big brother. it's the contrived run of the mill stuff that annoys me.

And I definately agree, the show on a whole does feel rushed.

Dermot does a great job without a doubt considering the time he gets to fit everything in.

The only problem i have with BBLB is Dermot acting like a tosser; breakdancing (trying to), jumping on the sofa, stepping up and down on the sofa, dancing etc... he makes me cringe.

I don't think Channel 4 can be arsed with BBLB this year (and last years)
They've given it a rubbish slot, and it's simply too short with too litle depth.
It's too rushed, and i think they want to make it seem 'exciting' for the both futile and bored young audience. So i doubt there will be any changes for next years BB.

IMO that kindof improvisation is what entertains me most of the time. If you had a dullard like Susie hosting it, it'd soon become boring and uninteresting. Personally i quite like Dermot.

I like him yeah but he doesn't need to act like a 3 year old doing daft things to be funny, he is a good presenter but i just wish he'd lay off all that annoying cringeworthy $hit.

I think its funny aswell, pretty harmless when dancing to the music doesn't last long anyway.
