Celebrity Big Brother 2013: Jim Davidson to still enter?

Comedian Jim Davidson will enter Celebrity Big Brother 2013, apparently.

The comic was due to take part in the latest series which kicked off this week, but pulled out after being arrested as part of the Jimmy Savile sex abuse investigation.

The 59-year-old, who denies the allegations made against him from more than 20 years ago, was replaced by footballer Neil Razor Ruddock in the line up.

Jim has since been bailed until March, and his legal team have given the all clear for him to take part in the show.

According to the Daily Star, bosses are keen to get Jim onto the show in a bid to keep ratings up.

This week’s launch show was seen by a peak audience of over 4 million viewers, the second most watched CBB on Channel 5.

But with Jim not entering, and other rumours such as Lindsay Lohan also proving untrue, those numbers could quickly tumble.

Meanwhile, a source claimed that Jim hoped by taking part in the series again he could clear his name.

The insider told the newspaper this morning: “Jim is still in shock but hasn’t done anything wrong and is determined to hold his head up high.”

They added: “He has vowed to clear his name.”

Celebrity Big Brother 2013 airs nightly on Channel 5, with the first eviction set for next Wednesday.

I feel exactly the same about him, it's not just because he has been arrested that i don't want him in the house, I've never liked the guy.

Are you offended personally or on the behalf of those he sets out to belittle with his jokes? I don't like him as a person or his humour but in a non-stand up, as himself environment where those he offends can respond in the form of other housemates, the crowd and the voting public, I don't feel that important, I've not liked dozens of housemates, but I was wondering if that was partly perhaps because I'm not the subject of his jokes, whether people in the groups he mocks would feel uncomfortable with it.

Well I'm a straight white female so I'm not really in the groups that he has a problem with. I just find him offensive and a horrible old man.
His outburst on Hell's Kitchen towards Brian was venomous and completely uncalled for and I just don't like people who don't care who they upset with their archaic opinions.

How awful it would have been if Jim Davidson had gone in instead of Razor Ruddock. I can't think of one single amusing or entertaining thing about Davidson, and I really hope we've seen the last of him.
