View Full Version : Rylan Why is he so over dramatic about Speidi coming to the main house?

He's saying things like "it doesn't feel like our house no more"
wtf?! It's a game show house where you have been for two days!
What the hell is wrong with this girlyboy?

didn't you call Spencer a redneck in another thread?

Because he's a pathetic little drama queen, he's trying to he seen as 'real' by making an issue out of nothing so he can show how he 'tells it like it is'.

He is trying to be the center of attention. Also, he knows most of the casuals hate Speidi, and so he his going against them in other to be well-viewed outside the house.
And I also agree with the "Drop me out" bit. Did you notice how many times he freaking said it when Big Brother revealed they were live on Channel 5? :nono:
He doesnt like Spencer because he heard him call them all weirdo's at the launch.

He thinks he is untouchable, fingers crossed he is up with Frankie.
..it might be something to do with the fact that they've made it plain that they couldn't care about the other housemates....

It's not homophobic. I'm referring to his effeminate manner. And I suppose it's ok for you to call Spencer a redneck? That's widely considered a slur too. Why is that ok but girlyboy isn't? Who are you to decide what is ok and what isn't?

Calling somebody a girly boy isn't casual homophobia. some boys act girly regardless of their sexuality. Rylan is one of those people. He is a girly kind of boy, him being gay has nothing to do with it..
And in answer to the original post, yeah, he's a douche. (I hope douche isn't homophobic too)

Thankyou! I wish some of these forum members would stop trying to police what language people use. Especially when they themselves use casual slurs like "redneck".

Calling a guy a girlyboy is in no way homophobic, that's like saying calling a girl a tomboy is a homophobic slur.

He is getting very annoying very fast. Trying to create drama when nobody actually cares. I guess someone has to take up the bitchy queen role though

Using redneck as an insult is just immature and rude. Pretty sure she's deleted the comment though which is good.

I agree!
I seem to remember Govan getting lots of love near the beginning so hopefully Everyone begins to see Rylan for who he is ( and he was my third favourite on launch night, dropped down to like 5th last night and now i dont think ill be able to watch him for 3 weeks, although i will give him the benefit of the doubt if he gets over speidi)
He is absolutely doing my tree in. I, frankly, would like to "drop him out" of a window.

Girlyboy is homophobic imo
If you used it to describe all gay men, it is homophobic. He used it to describe a man who acts like a girl, Rylans sexuality was not taken into consideration hence the context girlyboy was used in is not homophobic.

But he used it as a derogatory term for Rylan, which then takes the context to homophobia. It's not the first time the op has done this.

What do you mean that way inclined, to be girly?

Had the OP not made various under handed slurs about Rylans sexuality from the launch, IMO blatantly baiting people "girlyboy" probably wouldnt have caused a stir. Regardless of what other people have said in their posts I think this member is just out to get a reaction.

Oh well, if girly/camp or whatever is offensive then best the OP find a better description then.

..I agree..the OP has made several derogatory remarks about Rylan and was asked to change a thread title which was offensive..the 'girlyboy' thing isn't a one off or the most offensive thing they've posted..which is why members continue to be offended....
..I'm aware of the 'redneck' comment that Livia made, as it was in a quote to me..it was said as an obvious tongue in cheek remark, which people make all the time on forums and not derogatory at all...I think the OP is clutching at straws and trying to deflect from him/herself....either that, or as you say Annie...trying to cause reactions....anyone on this forum who is aware of Livia as a poster knows she's not homophobic, xenophobic or any other type of phobic...she's quite phobic-free....

So does that mean all those that taunt Marcus about Claire/Beckys weight and call Claire names are in the wrong too,as that is also insulting, but people think that is funny:conf:Why is it ok for some to call people but not others, this is not a pop at you btw, just curious as to what is the difference:hugesmile:

I'm not anti-gay. I liked that gay welsh rugby player who was on a few series back. Can't remember his name. My comments about Rylan are directed at his campness. I just wish they would have more normal gay people on. I think that Rylan acts like a stereotype.

It matters not, new members especially Americans would have been offended by that remark.
Why this is still being discussed I don't know, the moderators will seen OP and chosen not to react.
Why is it still being challenged?

Redneck is way less of an insult than the loaded "girlyboy" is.
Rednecks call themselves rednecks as a badge of honor.

The OP has explained the comments were not intentionally offensive.
Therefore why they are being hounded over this is confusing.

is it bad i like both rylan AND speidi? im sure im not the only one tho. i think heidi likes rylan, and spencer is kinda luke warm to him. all this we are seeing is the producers and short edits. there is not much there tbh. no drama, no rivalry. YET :)
