Would you of been embarrassed in the first place and told your man to calm down, or would it not be an issue how excited they get over football? Question can apply to men aswell I guess. I'm not sexist

Haha....don't most people react like that when their team scores? Looks like my house on a Saturday afternoon. If he's that passionate about football his wife surely knows that and should expect the reaction and ignore it or not go to the pub with him. My mum hates football but my dad is the biggest sports fan ever so she would never dream of going for a drink during a match with him. When they got married his first words when she got to the altar were not "you look lovely dear" but "it's ok we won 2-0 today" and he insisted they get marrie at 5 so he could listen to the game beforehand.

..yeah Annie..anyone who lives in a house full of males like I do will unnderstand that their sports get them quite excited sometimes...I just retreat to another room with my laptop....going to the pub with them to watch it seems quite foolish to me.....

Well I prefer that you talk with him too, and I definitely agree with your premise.

I'd just be like 'sit down you twat' but I know football and I know people get excited, I'd just cringe.
That guy is a terrible human-being and should be put down immediately though.
