Heidi was just really honest about it.

She said it was pretty much real for the first 2 seasons and then from season 3 onwards it become more scripted which you could tell just by watching it.

She seems like such a nice girl in the first 2 seasons but has become a slightly strange woman.

Basically the cast mates would have one on ones with producers to talk about whats happening in their lives ect.

Then for instance if Heidi had told producers her and Lauren had fallen out then they would arrange for them to both be at the same party or place one day causing drama. So they would react real but it was sort of staged.

If LC had kissed some guy then they would send that guy in with another girl lol so it was kind of real for a short while.

From series 3 onwards they started scripting and manipulating the show to please viewers but it was just blatant.

For instance Heidi would be walking down a street and then Lauren would come the other way....Erm what are the chances they just happened to be filming Heidi casually walking down the street doing her own thing.

Made In Chelsea is 100% scripted i have mates who have been extras on there who said they have scripts, do takes, different angles ect.

lauren conrad mentioned it on the bravo show too, it started out as kind of real but by the end there was a lot of producers influence, who to fight with, hook up with etc..

It is all Entertainment at the end of the day :) but i know where you are coming from.
